Simmons have 22 locations in London, and now have their first outside of the capital. It is right here on Deansgate, and we got invited down to the opening.

00:00Hi, I'm Theo with Manchester World and today I'm on my way to the launch of a brand new bar here in Manchester
00:05Now at the minute, it feels as though a new place is opening every week
00:08But this is one that's had a lot of hype around it
00:10Simmons has been active in London for years and I've been invited down to give it a quick early look
00:15So this is Simmons. It's opened up on Deansgate after having 22 locations set up across London
00:21This is their first excursion out of the capital and it looks really really great. It's got great vibes inside
00:26They've got a partnership with holy slice pizza where you can buy individual slices of pizza
00:30They've got a stage for a band. And like I say, I mean you can see from the disco balls
00:34It is just a great vibe. They've got a recording studio karaoke booth where you can live out your greatest singing dreams
00:41They've got some great retro games right at the back as well
00:44So if you're not in the mood to go out and party and dance there are other options for you as well
00:49And again, they just really helps contribute towards giving the bar a nice retro feel behind the bar
00:54You've got an army of bartenders all well-versed in all of the fancy cocktails and the happy hour deals are as you can see on the
00:59Screen really really really great. Now if the main room doesn't seem like your vibe
01:03They also have a room that's decked out a bit like the kitchen at a house party, which should be a bit quieter
01:07It's a bit more low-key
01:08They've got these waltz up booths as well
01:10And again, like I say, it's the design of the place that really makes it stand out
01:13The range of cocktails is fabulous and the way they get served is brilliant, too
01:18As I said, the bartenders are very very knowledgeable
01:20Very very happy to help out and will sort of help you pick a cocktail that will work for you as well
01:24I went for the lychee martini
01:27Which is made up of gin, lemon juice, lychee juice, raspberry liqueur and sugar syrup and all served in a delightful little teacup

01:35I mean, have you ever seen a fancier looking cocktail because I find it very hard to believe that you have
01:41So that's everything
01:42From what I've seen so far
01:44Simmons seems to be a really well-oiled
01:45well-drilled machine with a great range of cocktails and a great range of offers as well going through to November
01:50In November, if you book a table, you get happy hour offers the whole time that you're there
01:54And based on what I've seen so far, I can really recommend it
