00:00Hello and welcome to Manchester World, my name's Theo Cousin-Betts and today's video is all about some of the amazing events that we have coming up in Manchester this week.
00:07As always, there's tons and tons to get through, so let's get right into it.
00:10Firstly, we did a video on this last week, but it's worth mentioning again, is the Pac-Man Live Experience, which has now landed in Manchester, near the Science and Industry Museum.
00:18Essentially, you get to be Pac-Man, you consume pellets, chase ghosts, it's a real workout, and so it's perfect for family, trying to tighten the kids out, and having fun with friends as well.
00:26Next, Get Baked has opened in the Northern Quarter. It's a viral bakery chain with awesome cakes and shakes.
00:31The most famous is the Bertha, which is a 24-layer chocolate cake. It was initially popularised in Leeds, so we're going to have to give Yorkshire some credit for this one, and it's based in Stevenson Square now, so get down and give it a go.
00:42Next, the Treehouse Hotel has opened on Deansgate. With 200 bedrooms, it's a lovely old building with space for a magnificent restaurant, awesome film nights, local creatives and craftspeople setting up stores there.
00:53There are artwork, shops and fitness sessions too, it looks like a really awesome place to be.
00:57This week, the BBC Radio 6 Music Festival is at the O2 Victoria Warehouse. It's returned to the city this year with a great set of artists, including the Ezra Collective, some excellent DJ sets as well.
01:07It's worth going for the atmosphere alone, it promises to be an awesome opportunity, and it's running up until this Saturday.
01:13On this Sunday at the Victoria Baths is Clothes Cycle. It's the UK's biggest second-hand clothing market, and is there for one day only.
01:21There's a focus on sustainability, reclaiming old fashion, and it's an awesome opportunity for anyone with a retro style and a real love for vintage clothing.
01:28Also this Sunday at Farmers Market at Noma, there are tons of fresh, locally sourced food on offer, using Noma as a base to build a real community about sustainability and ethics in farmers, growers and artisan creators.
01:40There'll be music, food and family workshops, and much more. Get down, give it a try, and follow Manchester World for more.
