00:06businessman Loh Tay Joe, or Joe Loh, over his alleged role in the 1MDB scandal.

00:13Justice Colin Lawrence-Sekirah cited testimony from investigating officer Nur Aida Arifin,

00:18who indicated that no complaints were made by Najib or his officers in 2015.

00:23He said Najib's former special officer, Amhari Effendi Nazaruddin, also testified that he

00:28received no instructions from Najib to report Loh.

00:32The judge referenced how 1MDB's former chairman, Bakir Saleh, and CEO, Shahrul Azharul Ibrahim

00:37Halmy, were briefed by Public Accounts Committee chairman Hassan Arifin to minimize the roles

00:42of Najib and Loh in the scandal.

00:45Sekirah cited another incident in 2013 when KPMG auditors questioned the authenticity

00:50of a US$2.3 billion investment in Brazen Sky Ltd, with Najib later terminating KPMG after

00:57a meeting where they felt pressured to close 1MDB's financial statement.
