00:00So today we're here at Astrid Munnach Centre of Sport and Excellence for the
00:10Disability Six Nations for the Dragons region. This event is run annually and is
00:15a tournament festival for those who are in special education. We're here
00:21facilitating the coaching side of things, so delivering for students. We're also
00:26here to facilitate coaches out there from different establishments such as
00:30Coleg Cymruid. Being a hub officer is a great experience, working with
00:35children every day, giving them opportunities to experience the game of
00:39rugby, whether they're new, experienced, and creating that jersey for all
00:43strategy and making sure everyone has equal opportunities within the game.
00:49I would make sure that all, you know, the hub officers are taking part with inside
01:00each event, and make sure that everyone is having a good laugh, making sure
01:05that they're all having a good time playing rugby.
01:12I love my job. I don't even see it as a job, I see it as a way of life in
01:17general. As I'm based inside Trinity Fields School, I mainly deal with
01:21inclusion inside the WRU. It just puts a smile on my face making sure that
01:25pupils are enjoying rugby.
01:32Disability Six Nations is an amazing event. It gives so many kids an
01:37opportunity to have rugby experiences across Canada where they may not
01:40experience them. For one day, one annual day a year, to come and experience loads of
01:45rugby and be able to play some games representing their countries as well.
01:50Throughout the year, some kids might not be able to do much physical education
01:54and lessons, but this event will allow them to come out, get outside for the whole day,
01:58play loads of sport, have lots of smiles on faces, and have a more positive
02:02effect and give them a taste of rugby, which sometimes they may not have had in
02:05previous experiences. The best part of my job is just being able to
02:08see the progression, like days at a day really highlight that. You see
02:11loads of kids just absolutely enjoying everything they do. It highlights what
02:14the job really means to them, you know, especially in school as well. All kids
02:18from all different backgrounds, all different abilities, being able to create
02:20the best possible experience for them, to allow them to enjoy rugby, is the reason
02:24why we do the job. It's absolutely amazing.
