00:13And I was like, oh my god, like I thought for sure he was going to be back next year.
00:17But it was coming into doubt.
00:18He called the team out.
00:20And then everybody between Bill Belichick and former players in the media,
00:23everybody pounced on Mayo for those comments.
00:26And that's what we talked about all week.
00:27So for all the people involved in the entire Patriots organization,
00:31that win was the most important for Gerard Mayo.
00:33And I don't even think it's close.
00:35Like I don't think there's a second guy on that list that's like,
00:37yeah, that win really helped me.
00:38No, no, Mayo needed that win.
00:40So more, it helped more people, but it helped Mayo by far the most.
00:43Oh yeah, I mean a win is, especially a six game losing streak in the NFL,
00:47things start to pile up.
00:49Whether it's players, assistant coaches, the owner, like whatever it is,
00:52it's important for everybody to get rid of that losing streak.
00:56You don't want to be the worst team in the league.
00:59We talked last week a lot about how when the year is up,
01:02how awful one and 16 and even two and 15,
01:06how that looks like just on the standings and where you're at.
01:10But for them to get a win, throwing the fact that it's at home,
01:13like it was pretty significant for Gerard Mayo.
01:15So I do feel good about the win.
01:17Now I'll say I would prefer it if it was Drake May getting the win
01:21and playing well and he's out there and you win
01:23because you're a young quarterback, I would feel better about it.

01:26But I feel good about the win for what you just said.
01:29They needed it.
01:30They desperately needed that.
01:31This organization needed this win badly.
01:34They were a joke.
01:35They were a laughingstock.
01:36It was a national conversation.
01:38The coach called them soft.
01:39Bill Belichick called them out for being called soft.
01:42They were asked about being soft all week long.
01:45They got a second win.
01:47They needed it.
01:48The whole organization needed this.
01:50Unless you want to turn back into, and maybe they're still trending there,
01:54early 90s Patriots, you're a disaster every week,
01:56players getting arrested off the field,
01:58players out too late beyond their curfew,
02:00which I know Mayo quibbled with on the Greg Hill show,
02:03playing poorly on the field, nothing to look forward to,
02:06games that aren't watchable every single week.
02:08Unless you want that to be the reality, which I don't.
02:11I never wanted that to be the reality with Brissette or with May.
02:14Unless that's what you want purely for a draft pick,
02:18that's a good win yesterday.
