00:09President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. was happy to add a concession agreement as part of his promise to bring goodwill to Northern Mindanao.

00:21A few months after the inauguration of Ninoy Aquino International Airport in the private sector,

00:29a new public-private partnership concession agreement was signed today.

00:35This is the second in the longest history and is considered the main gateway to Northern Mindanao,

00:43which is also the international airport.

00:45President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. approved the signing of the agreement between the Department of Transportation and Aboitiz Infracapital

00:55which will oversee the upgrade, operation, and maintenance of the airport for the next 30 years.

01:16and deliver our services in a safer, efficient, and more convenient way.

01:22This also shows our commitment to invest in the development of Northern Mindanao.

01:28It will be modern, improve the service, and increase the capacity of the airport.

01:34From 1,600,000 passengers per year, the target is to increase the capacity of the airport to 6 million passengers.

01:57The private-public partnership, he made it happen in just over two years.

02:04We look forward to the day that we have the international flights going to Northern Mindanao.

02:17The strategic advantage of Lagindingan International Airport is huge.

02:22It is close to Cagayan de Oro, Iligan City, and other highly urbanized provinces in Northern Mindanao.

02:38Lagindingan's transformation should promote regional growth, generate jobs and livelihood, and create investment opportunities.

02:48The project is worth Php 12.75 billion.

02:52The government will earn more than Php 3 billion and will be able to provide 32,000 additional jobs.

03:01According to the Transportation Department, the target is Php 15.00 billion under the Public-Private Partnership.

03:09This is part of the government's program to improve connectivity and accessibility in different parts of the Philippines.
