00:35The aircraft was said to be attended by Defense Secretary Gilberto Chedoro Jr.,
00:40Office of Civil Defense Assistant Secretary Raffi Alejandro,

00:45and the Singaporean Ambassador to the Philippines, Constance See.
00:49According to Singapore Defense Attaché Colonel Jajindren Mariapan,
00:53the arrival of their C-130 in the Philippines is also due to the request of the Philippine government.
00:59For Ambassador See, the said deployment is just a demonstration of a strengthening relationship between the Philippines and Singapore.
01:07The Singapore Armed Forces has deployed our C-130 transport aircraft
01:12at the request of the Philippine government to support in the humanitarian aid efforts.
01:18The C-130 will be deployed in support of the Philippines government
01:24to bring airlift support, to bring the humanitarian aid to the communities affected by Tropical Storm Christine.
01:35We are committed to supporting the Philippines in its recovery efforts
01:39and we hope that those affected by the storm will receive the aid supplies in a timely way
01:44and that they can start rebuilding their lives.
01:47At 2.39 p.m., the Eurocopter EC-275 military transport aircraft of Malaysia arrived.
01:55The Malaysian Ambassador to the Philippines, Abdul Malik Kelvin, is also there.
02:01For Ambassador Kelvin, the Philippines is an important bilateral partner of Malaysia
02:06because of its membership in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations or ASEAN.
02:11In addition to the ambassador, the Philippines is also expected to meet the needs.
02:17Malaysia is always ready to help a friendly partner in need.
02:20And I'm sure the Philippines also will do the same with Malaysia if ever in a time of a crisis.
02:25We as partners and friends, we are ready to support you in any way we can in every capacity we are able to.
02:31According to Defense Secretary Gilberto Chodoro Jr.,
02:34the so-called help from Singapore and Malaysia is the result of coordination between ASEAN members
02:41to help in times of calamity and disaster
02:44that was confirmed in the Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction.
02:49Therefore, Singapore and Malaysia helped a lot for the humanitarian operations of the Philippines.
02:57We are also grateful to our ASEAN neighbors for their help.
03:04It's a big thing.
03:05Just kidding.
03:06It's a C-130.
03:07And for our brothers in Malaysia, it's a heavy-lift helicopter.
03:13It's a big thing.
03:14And they can help, especially in Bicol, where helicopters are needed.
03:23Aside from Singapore and Malaysia,
03:25OCD Administrator Undersecretary Ariel Nepomuceno said
03:30that air assets will also be sent to Brunei and Indonesia
03:34to help in our humanitarian efforts despite the lack of air assets in the Philippines.

03:43that Taiwan will also send aircraft to help in our country's relief operations.
03:50He also added,
03:51Any help that other countries will send is still welcome in our country.
