00:00Ohio State off a buy off its first and only loss of this year. Now two Saturdays ago in
00:09Eugene against Oregon. How does Ohio State respond as a 25 and a half point favorite
00:16in Columbus today hosting Nebraska? The Huskers were absolutely embarrassed and throttled
00:22last week in Bloomington by Indiana losing 56 to 7. Joe, it's been a few weeks for the
00:28Buckeyes to ruminate over that loss in Eugene. What resolve do we see at Orion Day and is
00:34Ohio State team today hosting those Huskers? Hopefully better than last week. I thought
00:38they would respond on the road. They got blown out 56 to 7, commit five turnovers and that
00:44was with the back of the quarterback, Davin Jackson, taking over. They couldn't shut down
00:48the run, allowed Indiana to rush for 214 yards on that front seven. If you're Matt Rule and
00:53you're Nebraska, you need a much better showing on the road. Do you have to win it? No, but
00:58you have to make this a four-quarter game somehow, some way. You look at the series,
01:02Ohio State has won seven straight in the series. Last time they played was a couple of years
01:07ago, but again, I'm going to take the points with Nebraska solely by default, expecting
01:12that this team rebounds after getting abused last week. Better defensive effort and Ray
01:17Ola needs to step up with a better performance, no turnovers, but we'll see how it plays out.
01:22I would lean towards Nebraska as well, which I guess isn't saying much. Ohio State doesn't
01:28get a lot of love clearly here on this desk. The Buckeyes under Ryan Day though, off by,
01:33they've been absolute machines. 2019 against Northwestern, 52 to 3. Skipping the COVID
01:38year in 2021, they beat Indiana 54-7. 54 to 10, they beat Iowa 2022. Last year against
01:45Maryland, they win by 20, 37 to 17. They had to come on late though in order to get that
01:50game kind of up to that spot. They were a little slow starters in that matchup. It's
01:55tough because this number is so big. I want to bet Nebraska, but Matt Rule hasn't covered
01:59against a ranked team yet at Nebraska. So this is a spot to me where you're kind of
02:04spinning around a little bit trying to find the best angle. I mean, they're chalky, but
02:09it should be a winner. Jeremiah Smith, anytime touchdown, he scored in every game. Nebraska's
02:13defense gives up a lot more through the air than on the ground. Touchdown wise this season,
02:18it's a tricky one here, but it's a game that I think lost a lot of juice for what IU did
02:23last week against the Cornhuskers.
