00:00Joe, the Hoosiers and the Huskers today at noon Eastern time in Bloomington, nearly a
00:09touchdown spread in favor of IU total working its way down.
00:1450 and a half has now become 49 and a hook.
00:17How do you break down this big 10 showdown between Indiana and Nebraska?
00:21Oh, this is a great game.
00:2212 o'clock.
00:23It's going up against Miami and Louisville.
00:25You got to have three screens to watch all these games play out.
00:28And it's probably the most entertaining and the biggest game in Bloomington in what, the
00:32last decade outside the Michael Pinnock's Penn State win during the COVID year.
00:36I can't think of a bigger possible win against a top 25 opponent.
00:41I will say both teams doing it with defense.
00:43Nebraska has only given up 2.7 yards per carry against opposing offenses.
00:48Indiana only allowing 84 rushing yards per game.
00:51The quarterbacks are playing well, Rayola 66% completion percentage.
00:56He's maturing every week and the kid from Ohio, Curtis Rourke has been a huge addition
01:01to that offense.
01:02They're averaging well over 450 total yards per game.
01:06This game comes down to me, Ben, in the trenches, which team is going to win it in the trenches.
01:11And that's where I give the edge and the significant edge, unfortunately, to the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
01:16It's not to take away from Indiana and what they've been able to do six, six wins.
01:21They were five and a half win total.
01:22They're already bowl eligible, dark horse for a big 10 championship.
01:26If you want to take that lottery ticket, but where's the marquee win, Maryland, Northwestern
01:31FIU that lost to Monmouth.
01:33I just don't see it.
01:34And I don't want to slight them.
01:36I'll just say, I think Nebraska is the strongest team that they have played in the interior.
01:40And that's why I give the edge to the Cornhuskers.
01:43There's no doubt.
01:44But if I may, one of the reasons I love what we do is because you look at Indiana schedule
01:48and it is not difficult what they have done in their opening six games.
01:52You might say to yourself, everybody should be six and oh with this schedule and you're
01:56probably correct.
01:57But when we do things driven through the odds, you put things into perspective.
02:02Indiana has been a favorite in all six of those games.
02:04They are five and one against the spread.
02:06The one non cover was their opening game of the season against FIU closing as a 24 and
02:12a half point favorite and won that game by 24 because that is the argument against the
02:17Hoosiers.
02:18Who have they played in Nebraska is their toughest test.
02:21But when we do things through the odds, they have matched expectation and exceeding it.
02:25Yeah.
02:26And I had another thing through the odds, Matt rule so far with Nebraska, four games
02:30against ranked opponent own four against the number.
02:33So that's a little bit concerning to me.
02:35I think you are seeing top of the market on Indiana.
02:37It's six and a half.
02:39You could pay for seven, it was seven and a half.
02:41I probably put the Cornhuskers on my card.
02:44I am going to play Dylan Rayola though over one and a half passing touchdowns here.
02:48He was over this number consistently to start the season.
02:51He's off a little bit over the last two.
02:52So you have a bit of a bounce back spot, but you do have an Indiana defense and this is
02:56kind of where it's like off the schedule solve what we points are we seeing against a soft
03:00schedule, multiple passing touchdowns for Billy Edward through three Northwestern.
03:05It puts two passing scores on the table as well.
03:07So I like Rayola through the air.
03:09I think you could play his yardage, but I'm going to play Dylan Rayola over the one and
03:13a half passing touchdowns in this game.
03:17That really does let us know who is the fourth big 10 team in this CFP race because you and
03:25I actually talked about this last week on off air.
03:28We have a ranked ranked game in the big 10 remaining.
03:31Like if Ben's top 10 extended to top 25, that would not be a ranked ranked game and he'd
03:36be doing a much better job than the eight hole.
03:38There's your compliment that you've been waiting for.
03:41This is a bigger game here in Indiana, Nebraska.
03:43It's why we're doing it first.
03:44It's why we're giving it bigger coverage than this upcoming game.
03:46Absolutely.
03:47So look at the playoff odds for these two teams.
03:50Look at where they stand in the big 10 title race.
03:52Nebraska is five and one this year.
03:55The only loss at home on that Friday night against the ranked opponent in Illinois who
04:00remains inside the AP top 25.
04:04Here's the key for Dylan Rayola and Nebraska.
04:06When you look at this corn Huskers team, they are built on the defensive side of the football
04:11Rayola in his first two big 10 games, at least 257 yards through the year.
04:17Last time they were on the field over two weeks ago against Rutgers at home, 13 of 27
04:22above 34 and an INT maybe his most true freshman F game that we have seen out of Rayola in
04:29his college career.
04:30Curtis work is not a freshman.
04:32He is very experienced and he has thrown for more than 305 yards in all three big 10 games
04:37for Indiana, multiple passing touchdowns, at least three passing scores and all three
04:43of those games.
04:44Luke Altmeyer did throw for four against the Huskers in that game about a month ago.
