00:00Along with the effects of the Christine storm, the Social Security System, or SSS, opened their loan programs for their members and pensioners.
00:10This is a support agency for the urgent financial needs, particularly for those affected by the storm.
00:18According to the SSS, members of the Salary Loan can apply as long as they have sufficient contributions
00:25and no more than 65 years without receiving their final benefit.
00:31While pensioners can also avail of a pension loan equivalent to three or up to 12 times the value of their basic monthly pension.
00:43Applications can be submitted online, through their MySSS portal, or through local SSS recipients.
00:51The purpose of this initiative is to facilitate the recovery and to provide financial support in the midst of calamity.
