00:00A typhoon, Christine, caused heavy rain and flooding in Bicol Region.
00:05This is the national news of Duds Marianito of PIA Bicol. Duds.
00:11Since 2 o'clock in the early morning here in Naga City, the rain has not stopped until this time,
00:18along with the strong winds of the tropical storm, Christine.
00:22Earlier at 6 o'clock in the morning, the Red Rainfall Warning and Emergency Disaster Management Office of the Camarinesur
00:31issued a warning of heavy rain and possible landslides in some prone areas.
00:36The Office of the Civil Defense, Bicol Spokesperson, Crimil Nas,
00:40appealed to the public to follow the government's visa and be prepared for the rain because of the storm, Christine.
00:47This is also the latest warning from their MDRRMO.
00:53It was reported that there are hotline numbers of LGUs to ask for assistance from the government.
01:01According to the latest news, more than P240,000 in financial aid and relief operations
01:10were made available to the Department of Social Welfare and Development for the victims of Hurricane Christine in Bicol.
01:16According to the data of DSWD Bicol, there are 3 million standby funds and P239,352,970 food and non-food items,
01:28equivalent to 161 family food packs and 78,739 non-food items
01:36containing family kits, sleeping kits, hygiene kits and other necessities.
01:41According to DSWD Regional Director Norman Laureo,
01:45he assured that they are ready to send relief goods to local government units if needed during this time of calamity.
01:53Meanwhile, there are 1,473 stranded passengers registered to the Philippine Coast Guard Bicol in the Bicol region.
