00:30Oh
01:00Welcome to sports scene after a dramatic saturday in the premiership
01:04Rangers now with a challenge of keeping the pressure up on celtic and aberdeen at the top of the table
01:09Philippe clement's side with a chance to cut the gap at the top to three points
01:13But come on it with a happy knack of making life very difficult indeed for the old firm here at rugby park
01:18We've got to make sure we fight our corner
01:20We've got to make sure in the middle of the pitch where we're bright and busy and organized
01:24Try to impose ourselves in a game
01:26We are a strong team at home and it's important to get back to being that at home, especially try to win games
01:30It's a difficult
01:32Place to play
01:34The way they play also because of the surface so we know it's a big challenge today and i'm looking forward to that
01:41Rangers with the opportunity to narrow the gap on the top two to just three points
01:46But to do so they'll have to overcome an improving kilmarnock
01:50A ground that hasn't always been kind to them. Albeit. Kelly haven't won here themselves all season
01:58All weekend the spfl have been showing racism the red cards
02:07Doing their bit this afternoon
02:10Danny mckinnis makes just one change to the starting 11 from that incredible comeback victory
02:16Over dundee a fortnight ago stuart finley is fit again after missing that one and comes back into the back line
02:23As kelly tweaked their shape for the challenge ahead
02:27As philippe vermont aims to celebrate a year in charge of rangers at the venue where his predecessor michael biel's tenure began to come unstuck
02:35He's able to bring tom lawrence back in as well as conor barron as ross mccausland and nico raskin's off to the bench
02:46So
02:51That win on the opening day of last season has come on it's only won in the last 10 league meetings
02:56Rangers have won the other nine
02:59And desperately need to take the three points again to draw closer to celtic and aberdeen
03:16Story
03:32Chopper has to try and deal with that jack butler hasn't got there
03:37And suits are in the way
03:39As marley walkins try to force it go
03:41Forwards
03:44With the first real opening of the game
03:49Rangers the fans get itself in all sorts of trouble here as jeffties ball back
03:54Roper didn't really deal with it nor did butland
03:58And it required suitor to bail them out
04:01Here
04:09Daba in a good position is a good ball and it should really have been finished
04:15Terrific cross from daba and marty kennedy just couldn't provide the finishing touch
04:22Can't ask for a better ball in than that
04:26Kennedy's got to make contact in there
04:32So
04:34Continues his run
04:37Checks back onto the left foot deserts. Can he spin and get the shot away?
04:41Still he has the opportunity
04:43Just can't get the shot on
04:46To do this from tavernia
04:50Losing kennedy
04:53But the attentions there on surreal deserts
04:57It was close enough to ensure there was no opportunity for him to get the shot away
05:07Tavernia
05:10Uncle chernie back to tavernia chernie once more he's about the shots mccrory pushes it away
05:18Good stop
05:21You know when he picks up
05:24Threatening to build up a head of steam here
05:29Leaves it to diamond
05:33By rami once more and the tavernia
05:36Just tries to dig that over mccrory. He didn't get the elevation. He was looking for
05:40chernie
05:41You've got both goals and the win over st. Johnston
05:44Threatening to open the scoring here. He's through the legs on daba, which made it more difficult for mccrory dealt with it. Well
05:54That's proper
05:57Good for the runners jeff. It's a good ball. She has to be away from armstrong goes for goal himself
06:04claims of handball comes to chernie
06:06Fuck you
06:08Street team daba
06:10So
06:17Shifty taking the shot on here when
06:20Really off to chernie might have been the better option claims for handball against
06:25These but it rolls up his leg onto his arm. Oh, yeah, that can be a penalty
06:35Lions
06:37You're pulling them back it's going to be a yellow card for the rangers captain
06:46Needless to say
06:58Kennedy points it to the back post. There's a goal or the flags up to deny. Robbie dees
07:07What he thought was the opening goal
07:12It's a terrific ball in this from kennedy
07:16Is that these who's just gone too early? Yeah
07:20It's a terrific header
07:22That's jack butlin's got the assistant
07:26It's this one, right?
07:28It's agony for kilmarnock and robbie dees
07:30Is
07:43The offside is confirmed
07:46Massively it's off the rangers
07:49and unfortunate for
07:51Robbie dees
07:53Confirmation he thought he had his first goal of the season
08:01He gives it away to donnelly and he gets it back it's the among the warrens
08:21It's a good ball for tavernier cross goal it comes and knocked away by these
08:27Dees
08:29Pretty much rangers best move of the game so far
08:35Continuing his run and it's these who clears the danger in the end
08:49Comes across a good ball and it's facel who is close to trying to guide it on target
08:57So
09:03Closed down by lions lions no free kick given lions again. What an opportunity
09:15Oh jack butlin coming up with a top save there
09:21Pounded here by lions
09:24Nothing was given there
09:26And when it came back to lions after the first shot was saved he blazes it over the top
09:33That's a brilliant save from butlin's and that's a bad miss from lions
09:38and it does look like a
09:40A foul by lions, but the whistle didn't go
09:42Oh
09:50Just lost the flight of it for sale picks up spins away from proper over the top from the killy captain
09:56And they've had their chances
10:01So just unable to keep this one down
10:03Soon
10:07Hopefully turn to get the space but just leaning back as he hit that one
10:17No changes for either side at the interval which is perhaps surprising from a rangers perspective
10:26Sending a message to the boards
10:34What's happening here
10:36You can't get onto the dish as well
10:38It goes for gold. That's a good strike from deser's
10:43But robbie mccrory getting down to his near pose to tip it wide
10:47It's a good clean effort this from deser's that's going to sneak in
10:51But for the fingertips of robbie mccrory
10:54I think there's best effort by some distance so far
10:57Here comes the corner it's back posted as deser's stays out somehow and proper can't guide it on target
11:07Serial deser's on two occasions within the space of 60 seconds denied by the crossbar this time
11:17You can barely fault the striker does all he could to force that into the back of the net
11:23So unlucky
11:32Diamonde deser's turning into trouble
11:35Cerny will pick up the loose ball
11:37Lawrence can't reach it, but it'll come to by rami
11:40Now it's shifty can't get the ball out his feet
11:44Like it comes to by rami again
11:52Good first touch
11:55Difficult to see whether that does take a nick of a kamanak player
11:59By rami would have hoped to be able to hit the target from there
12:05Armstrong
12:08After a wonderful second moment ago and that's a nice pass for walkins blocked by balligan back out to armstrong
12:16Here
12:18Puts it back in suitor high in the air
12:21In comes basel
12:23And then just sliced over the bar by mattie kennedy
12:27Just wouldn't sit kindly for kennedy here. What's it going to take?
12:31So
12:47With tavernia lifts over for cherny, can he get the opportunity here good challenge from these
12:53Cherny almost in to get the shot away. He's made life difficult for him only ball from tavernia
13:01Danger well read by robbie dees
13:07When certainly getting up at rugby park
13:13Use it to his benefit as he curls it in and mccrory had to deal with that
13:17Otherwise that was going to end up in the back of the net
13:20Here's jeff date
13:23Back out to tavernia first time ball in balligan still up there
13:27It's in dabba he gets his head to it just sees it behind for another corner
13:31Good goalkeeping from robbie mccrory here alert to the danger
13:43Cherny will try the other side
13:47Can he produce it comes mccrory again, he's missed it suitor now
13:51Blocked by mccrory balligans in there and cleared eventually
13:58Jeff he has a bad touch and here's kennedy and on goal
14:01Matty kennedy back comes tavernia kennedy goes for goal and a good stop from jack butlins
14:08Is
14:15Just by ramming out forward for diamondi
14:18And deser's first touch just takes it into the arms of robin mccrory. Oh dramatic few
14:26Seconds there as vassell took it away from mccrory who then denied suitor
14:32Clearly properly going up the other end
14:34and mattie kennedy
14:37Just couldn't get the ball to sit
14:39In time to get the real power and purchase you required in the shot
14:43Good stop nonetheless
14:52Lawrence catches donnelly. He's on a yellow got to be careful
15:02Steven and mattie kennedy over the set piece
15:05It's kennedy towards the back post a good ball robbie dees
15:12Completely misses his kick there
15:16Chopped off in the first half and he should be hitting the target
15:34So
15:41Watkins could be in here walkins is in and walkins has the opening goal
15:48Three minutes from time marley walkins has given come out of the leads
15:59Well, what about that
16:04Oh
16:08There's david watson helping it on he's definitely on side you can see
16:13And suitor doesn't deal with it. The walkins knocks it past jack butlin's
16:22And that looks like the winning goal for killy
16:29What a moment for marley walkins and kilmarnock
16:35So
16:39Kilmarnock heading for a first rugby park victory this season
16:46Well, the defeat here
16:48Was the beginning of the end for michael beale last season
16:51philippe clement
16:53seaside
16:54trail
16:55Celtic and aberdeen by six points
17:00Rangers salvaged something from the game
17:03Into dowell
17:05That's good
17:07Trickery from dowell feeds eagerman
17:09Just wide
17:12So close to his first ever rangers goal
17:16Lovely play from dowell good ball for eagerman agonizingly wide for the moroccan striker
17:24Oh
17:32Watching that
17:33With great relief. Oh wide of his post
17:36It's last chance for rangers
17:39To get anything from this game
17:46Jack butlin's going to go up for this
17:50Might as well send everyone up surely
17:53Yeah
17:58You can show it to tavernier
18:00Now it goes into the area
18:02Dava with the header clear. There's a full-time whistle
18:06Kilmarnock have another famous victory over rangers
18:10thoroughly deserved
18:12clinched late on by marley walkins
18:17Against the rangers side that delivered another below par performance
18:23And they remain six points off the top two but kilmarnock with a first victory at home this season
18:31Looking their rise up the table philippe clement sees his side falter once more
18:40It's been another big afternoon in the scottish premiership
18:46Rangers second best at rugby park where it finishes kilmarnock one rangers nil
18:53Um, it's good to get back to that being resolute and organized. I thought we were aggressive with press. I thought we're pressed was terrific
19:00Throughout I think it's important that when rangers come here
19:02They don't get to play their natural game and get the players enjoying touches of it
19:06So we try to get the balance right of that. Um, I thought we were the better team
19:10first half for me we reminded the players of that but
19:13Still need that moment. Um, normally you look towards your front four if it's not from a set play for somebody to come up with that
19:19big moment thankfully
19:21Mali his timing was terrific and he creates
19:25takes his big moment in the game and
19:27Thankfully at one point became three points. The clean sheet is
19:31So pleasing as well as the three points
19:33Uh that it was not good enough today. So that's disappointing
19:38for sure the first half
19:40Where we didn't create enough
19:42And we give away also too much
19:44In the duels not winning enough duels against the style of play
19:49Of kilmarnock second half was much better and that's a disappointing thing then
19:53That the moment you take control of the game you create the chances and you push them back and they didn't come out anymore
20:00that you concede a
20:02Goal in in that fashion. So that's disappointing
20:05Marley, what a moment for you at the end. You were just saying you you needed that and you looked a bit
20:10A relieved man that went in but what a moment for you and the team
20:14Yeah, I thought um, obviously should have taken the first half one didn't come down quick enough
20:18But um, yeah great to get the goal and the all-important win for the boys. Yeah buzzing
20:22Fantastic victory for kilmarnock rangers remain six points behind leaders
20:27Celtic and aberdeen i'm joined by michael stewart michael
20:31We'll give kilmarnock plenty of praise which they deserve very soon. But in terms of rangers very ordinary today
20:37Is this ranger side regressed are they worse than last season's ranger side?
20:42I mean look, I don't think there's any question that they're not as strong as they were last season when you you know
20:46You look at the the leaders the characters that um have
20:50That have left are no longer at the the club then. Yes. They are. They're a weaker side
20:56obviously the players that have come in they'll need to take a bit of time to try to get up to speed but
21:00I think the concerning thing is not just about the ability
21:03It's the actual mentality and the the character that's lacking in that ranger side at the moment
21:09It was fantastic from kilmarnock right from the start. I mean, they could have been two or three goals up early doors, couldn't they?
21:14Yeah, I mean look this was a thoroughly deserved result for kilmarnock. They were the the better side right throughout the game
21:21Um, and as you said there they had a you know
21:23A good number of opportunities as well in the first half
21:26To get their noses in front and that probably would have been the major disappointment for Derek McInnes at halftime that they weren't in front
21:31um, obviously
21:33Getting towards the latter stages of the game
21:34You're thinking, you know, perhaps they'll settle for the draw
21:36But lo and behold, you know, they come up with a winner that they thoroughly deserved
21:40Absolutely, Robbie Dees with the the offside goal. Kilmarnock having the ball on the back of the net. As for rangers
21:4670% possession in the first half Michael just a one shot on target. How surprised were you by that?
21:52Well, not when you're watching the game unfold because it didn't look like that
21:55We're going to be able to create anything and I think that's you know
21:57Another one of the uh, you know, the major concerns is that when you look at that front line
22:01Barame's got nice ability as has Cerny on the other side, Lawrence
22:06The three of the players in behind the striker are nice technical players
22:09But a lot of them the game passes them by, you know, and you're coming down to rugby park
22:13You know, it's going to be a difficult game
22:15You've got to compete first and foremost
22:17And I just think that those guys with Decessors at the top end, they're lacking any real impact in the game
22:23There's many games that come and go without them having the impact that you would hope
22:27For guys that are clearly technically very good. It's supposed to be fair
22:32Rangers would hit the woodworks, the real Decessors off the crossbar and both chances
22:37Both sides did have chances in the second half
22:39Yeah, they did. But I mean look
22:41I think that
22:42Right throughout the game, even in the second half, which was better for Rangers
22:45The performance was better in the second half
22:47But right throughout the game, it still felt as if Kilmarnock were the side that had the, you know, the best opportunities
22:53They were the side that looked like they were, you know, most likely to win this game as well
22:58So as much as Rangers had a few opportunities in the second half, it still was way below what you'd be expecting
23:05John Suter had a fantastic couple of international matches for Scotland, kept Cristiano Ronaldo at bay
23:12Undone today by Marley Watkins. He's such a canny player, showed a lot of cleverness to get his goal
23:17Yeah, he did. You know, you're right. John Suter was outstanding for Scotland
23:20He was, but he'll know himself that he needs to do better for the goal
23:24He's been one of the main, you know, players in the Ranger side
23:26He's a very good player, but today, you know, he's come up with a moment there that has
23:32Needed to be better. Marley Watkins did really well
23:35Just that little nudge just to keep him off balance
23:38And then find the bottom corner with a massive goal for Kilmarnock and six points out of the last six
23:42Starts to propel them up the table. It does
23:4587th minute strike from Marley Watkins
23:48But there's plenty of stoppage time, obviously. Hamza Ighman with a huge chance
23:52Be honest, did you think that was going to go in the back of the net from where you're sitting?
23:55Well, I think everybody where we were, Jonathan, thought that it was going to end up in the back of the net
23:59It was a lovely ball over the top from Kieran Dowell
24:02And it looked as if it was going to be a really neat finish from Ighmani
24:06But no, it wasn't to be and Rangers go away from here with their tail between their legs and they've got a lot to ponder
24:13You saw the anger from the Rangers fans when the Rangers players went to them at the final whistle
24:19And Philippe Clément
24:21Is he under pressure?
24:23Well, I mean, I think when you're at a big club, there's always going to be scrutiny and pressure
24:27Especially when you're not getting results
24:29I feel for him to a certain extent because I look at the squad as I've just said
24:33And it's not as strong as it was before
24:35How much of that is down to poor recruitment that he's involved in and how much is it down to cost cutting?
24:41I think there's an element of both there
24:44But one thing's for certain that
24:47the next week
24:48Is huge games, huge, huge games and huge
24:52Potential ramifications as well. St Mirren at home
24:54Obviously on the back of the European game that's to come during the week and then it's Petaudry
24:59That really is a mouth-watering game
25:01And it's one that is going to really tell us a lot in terms of how the season's going to unfold
25:06We should end with giving huge kudos to Kilmarnock. I mean for Derek McInnes
25:11They are kind of used to giving the old firm bloody noses here at Rugby Park
25:15But this was a fantastic and very well-deserved victory for Kilmarnock, wasn't it?
25:19Yep, it really was. I mean look, this is a Kilmarnock side that have got good balance about them
25:23You know, they're very competitive
25:24They've got two good composed players in the middle of the park in Lyon and Donnelly
25:29And then you've got two out-and-out wingers and they had two up top. This was a side that went after Rangers today
25:34They thoroughly deserved their victory and they can start to forget about the disappointments of Europe and the impact that had in the league
25:40And start to look up the table and forward to you know, what should be a successful season again for Kilmarnock
25:46Michael for the moment. Thank you very much. Indeed. It's been a hugely eventful day here at Rugby Park
25:51It was a hugely dramatic Saturday in the Premiership as well
26:01Angles
26:02Keogh expresses away
26:05Keogh into the middle. It's a great ball
26:09It's a great finish
26:11for Rio Hatate
26:13Keogh goes so quick. Goalkeeper scramble back
26:17first time finish
26:19for Rio Hatate
26:26It's a great ball
26:28Maida has been played back to Hatate. It's played and Keogh will make it two
26:34Aberdeen all over the place
26:36And Celtic make the pick
26:39Maida with a ball across and Keogh simply does not miss from there
26:43Aberdeen
26:47Aberdeen trying to find a way through it. Sockler is in behind scales. This for 2-1
26:52It's a sensational goal for Aberdeen and Esther Sockler pops it in the back of the net
26:59Maguire with a magic little pass
27:01And Sockler calmly finished it. Here come the dons on the break. Sockler
27:07Scored once tries to set up. It's gonna pull back Shinny with a chance deflected
27:12And Aberdeen have come from two down to make it two apiece at Celtic Park
27:17And it's the skipper Graeme Shinny with the aid of an outrageous deflection
27:22It's gonna be played out and Maguire got the toe in but deflected off of Troste and Aberdeen were dead and buried
27:28And they've risen again
27:32Whoops that went in. There's the deflection it's in Duke got the touch
27:37It dropped off Duke. He'll take the credit while we are checking for possible handball
27:44He appeared to go in off Duke's arm
27:47And that's the decision
27:50And it remains two apiece
27:55Final few minutes of additional time could round the corner Johnston plays it in
28:01Almost well the pressure wrapped up
28:07Played in goalkeeper stays on his line and makes a stunning save
28:11Mitov
28:13Keeps it at 2-2 Forrest plays it across chance off the line by Duke Johnston thought he'd won it Duke thinks he has
28:21Forrest played it in came across and Duke
28:25Looked like he got his body in there
28:28It's all over Duke's intervention to clear from Johnston was a legal maneuver. It's finished Celtic 2
28:36Aberdeen 2
28:42Let's give away possession Middleton
28:47Away from one and then away from Miller as well shows him a clean pair of heels into the box. He squares it
28:53Sam Dolby scores
28:57United are ahead
28:59And they celebrate with Glenn Middleton
29:01His first starts of the league season
29:04And he does so well there and Dolby
29:07Does well to stay on side two
29:10Newell crosses it deep Miller gets there. It's nodded back and O'Hara's in there
29:19Warren O'Hara with the goal
29:22The hips have dominated possession this entire first half
29:26But they've not been able to make the chances count until now
29:32Beat up down the line for Kuharevich
29:35Comes back to a beat up
29:37That's a good cross Dwight Gale's there
29:40Hips are ahead
29:42Dwight Gale with his first goal for the club the veteran striker
29:47With an experienced finish just planting his header into the ground
29:52And
29:55Assessing his options bad touch and he flies into that tackle
29:59It's eventually going to be called back and Joe Newell could be off here
30:04The hip skipper gets his marching orders
30:07They've been walking a tightrope since the 15th minute
30:10He may get the ball, but he gets a fair share of Lucas Stevenson, too
30:16United flying forward Trapanowski
30:18Trapanowski
30:20Gets the break of the ball. He charges to the byline. Can he pick out a Dundee United man the ball falls?
30:26Lucas Stevenson
30:30Finds the level of reunited
30:34It's another late goal for Jim Goodwin's side and it rescues a point
30:46Walton urged to go long
30:49It's not it on first it comes he doesn't gather mishaps there he's done it three two
30:58Dundee United leads
31:01A goal in the 99th minute and that'll be all three points for Dundee United
31:08It finishes at tanned ice Dundee United three hibernian two
31:18Two
31:21It's better
31:23Thanks. Well, but ingame for Vargas who flicked Shanklin on the return. It's Kenneth Vargas
31:30A sumptuous heart's goal
31:34And a first of the season for Kenneth Vargas
31:38Vargas is pushed a little bit wide, but he composes himself to finish
31:43Brilliant little flick the pass on the money from Lauren Shanklin
32:00All move well by Beningamian Boateng
32:03Here's all your go key
32:04Onto the left foot goes for goal. Oh, it's a stunner
32:13Oh
32:18What a way to get your first heart of midlothian goal from summer signing daniel. Oh you go key
32:26He's loving it and he has all the time to strike it beautifully with that left foot
32:32And ellery balcom had absolutely no chance
32:43Danda delivers and the header angled is dropping and it's in
32:54And it's young james wilson in the center of the celebration
33:03But james wilson's just able to keep an eye on the ball he just throws out a knee almost
33:08And it's enough to take it over the line three goals
33:13And surely three points for heart of midlothian
33:22Is there a fourth for hearts devlin spittle
33:27angles it
33:29perfectly
33:30beyond balcom
33:32And it runs off
33:33a brilliant day
33:35For heart of midlothian
33:37And st. Mariner just standing watching. Nobody goes near blair spittle
33:41And he just steers it away from the st. Marin goalkeeper heart of midlothian for st. Marin now
33:52Park six one four city bay good ball across to kipioka
33:58And st. Johnston take the lead at mcdermott park benjamin kipioka gets his third premiership goal of the season
34:06And
34:08It was great awareness great strength from sidibe a good ball in two and kipioka had the easiest of tasks to make it one nil
34:21Nielsen finds clark
34:26Now right
34:28Touch runs away from him and that's a
34:31Heavy challenge from elijah campbell who could be in trouble here
34:34And it's the second yellow card for elijah campbell
34:39The fullback sent off early on here
34:43He was on
34:44under 20s duties with england over the international break and
34:48But crashing back down to earth as he returns to premiership action
34:58Here's smith
35:00Looking for a chance to cross sends the low ball in it might come for kipioka again
35:08Hesitation on the celebration, but the goal is good and kipioka at the double
35:17Makes it two nil to st. Johnston
35:20Scored a pair of doubles in the league cup group stage. This is first
35:24In the premiership and the power just took it beyond late law
35:27So
35:29It's a nice flick from hale
35:31lunging challenge from charlie telfer on
35:34sven sprangler
35:36And it's a straight red card for charlie telfer
35:40The shortest of cameos for the
35:43midfield player
35:44He went in hard and he's caught sprangler high in
35:48It's a straight red card
35:52Here's right
35:55Fence
35:56jim, kerry
35:58Substitute with license the motor. That's neat play sends one to the floor and across for mckenzie kirk
36:06The young striker gets his first premiership goal and what a time to get it
36:13Substitutes combining to great effect
36:15Kerry and kirk off the bench and it's the young northern irishman who taps home from close range
36:25And miller picks up
36:28Tries to lash it forwards and it breaks for lyle cameron and dundee are going up the other end now
36:35murray
36:37For cameron good sliding challenge, but cameron emerges with the ball again
36:42Here's larkesh murray's header and it drops for lyle cameron
36:50First blood dundee at far park
36:55And it's a big one for the traveling support and their dundee sides
37:01Tony doherty not interested in overhyping it plenty of time left in this game
37:06Cameron involved in the build-up tenacious to get it back
37:11Teasing delivery from larkesh and cameron stations to slide it into the bottom corner
37:18Cameron
37:20Well dundee perhaps scarred from that late collapse against come on it will feel they
37:25Might need to build on this advantage as murray takes
37:29fraser
37:31Slides it to curtis main
37:35Well, they got plenty behind that
37:38The big dundee number nine
37:42Just playing in a little half space
37:45Come on
37:50Dravkovsky
37:55Onto the right foot cross committee's header miller strike
38:04Brilliantly
38:05Struck from the 18 year olds. Trevor carson does his job
38:10And it's a huge victory for dundee. Let's finish. Mother will nail dundee one
38:15Incredible to all draw at celtic park yesterday between celtic and aberdeen michael
38:21Does that make?
38:23aberdeen realistic title contenders for you
38:26Look jonathan. It's far too early in the season to start talking about things like that
38:29but what it does do is it certainly brings a an element of excitement and uh, an intrigue because
38:36It's the biggest challenge that aberdeen have had this season and they you know
38:39They came out of that uh that test with flying colors to be two nil down at half time
38:44With all the what you would imagine is the negativity that would be flying around
38:48For them to come back with that second half performance and get two two and and obviously
38:53Have the you know, the third goal that was you know was chalked off as well
38:57Looking like they were maybe going to be getting a victory quite an incredible performance and turnaround. So
39:02Too early to suggest they're going to be a title contender
39:04But certainly I see them being a lot closer to what were the top two last season
39:09Than uh, you know third place has been for for a long time you make them favorites to finish second
39:14Again too early to say jonathan
39:17Not like you michael
39:18But anyway, you're right. There is a long way to go and there are many challenges to face for aberdeen up against dunne united
39:24Obviously on saturday and then a mouth-watering
39:28Challenge against rangers at pataudry in 10 days time. I mean these are pivotal moments in the season already
39:34Yeah, they are
39:34I mean look the you know
39:35The next uh, the next few games for uh for aberdeen are are very intriguing and indeed off the back of that draw
39:41They've got you know
39:42As you said they're dunne united at home and then rangers at home followed by the semi-final in the premier sports cup against celtic
39:48I think once we get out the end of that it'll you know
39:50Tell us a lot more in regards to where the season's going to
39:54uh go for for aberdeen, but uh, very exciting times for the
39:58The supporters up at pataudry, of course
40:01um
40:02At the other end of the table is the michael stewart derby
40:05a week week's time at easter road and
40:08hearts and hibs
40:10There are plenty of problems. Although hearts obviously getting off to a fantastic start under neil christie. I mean, it's a massive match, especially for aberdeen
40:17Yeah, I mean unquestionably. It's a massive game for both, you know, it's the two bottom, uh teams on the table, which is uh,
40:24Is you know ridiculous to think that the two teams from edinburgh are sitting bottom of the table, but it is what it is
40:30Um, you know christie couldn't have wished for a you know, a better start four nil at home commanding, you know
40:36performance and result
40:38Um, and it gives them the opportunity to to build into thursday in the european tie against uh, monia. Yeah
40:45To try and gain a little bit more momentum for that european game. Whereas for hibs obviously they need to
40:49Um ponder what has been going on. Um this season and what happened yesterday at tanadise as well
40:56And try to rectify it to easter road, which is obviously a no better, you know game for them to try to turn things around
41:02But they're not in a great place to to actually be able to do that michael stewart. Thank you very much
41:07Indeed tonight the william hill premiership table looks like this
41:12Celtic and aberdeen are top of the table on 22
41:15Points celtic with a better goal difference rangers third on 16 points at the bottom the capital to
41:23Hearts and hibs on five points each as ever lots more football on the way

42:19Until next time from all of us on the sports team team
42:21Good night
42:42Is
