00:00The Calabarzon Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council continues to monitor the activities of the Taal Volcano.

00:33and to consult with the local authorities and government agencies regarding the activities of the Taal Volcano.
00:40At a RDRRMC meeting, several LGUs around the Taal Volcano issued a statement to the so-called social media posts
00:49about the unforeseen eruption of the volcano that caused fear and confusion among the residents.
00:56PHIBOX clarified that the observed activities in the Taal Volcano are phreatic eruptions or better known as Pusngat.
01:04These are steam-driven and do not immediately mean that the volcano will erupt where magma and some volcanic materials
01:14and the cold water rising from the bottom of the volcano will accumulate.
01:18From Oct. 14 to Oct. 17, the Taal Volcano recorded 10 phreatic eruptions where it still released sulfur dioxide or sulfur that reached several hundred meters above.
01:32It is still prohibited to enter the Taal Volcano Island, especially in the main crater and the Angkastila Fissures.
01:38The Taal Volcano should always be monitored and any aircraft should be allowed to fly near the volcano.
01:45The Calabarzon RDRRMC and local authorities are ready to take action in the event of a strong activity of the volcano.
01:55The Taal Volcano remains under Alert Level 1.
