00:00A former Chief Operating Officer for Menteri Besar Selangor Incorporated was again arrested
00:06and remanded by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission in its investigation into projects
00:11involving the state government body.
00:14MACC Chief Azam Baqi said a magistrate issued a seven-day remand order but did not specify
00:19which magistrate.
00:22Azam explained that the former COO had previously been remanded for a day after an earlier arrest
00:27and was arrested again today.
00:30He also said MACC will be looking into 20 projects involving MBI after receiving information
00:35that some people involved in these projects were bribed.
00:40Azam also said RM600,000 was recovered during a search by MACC at premises linked to the
00:46investigation.
00:48On October 14th, it was reported that MACC uncovered safe houses where foreign and local
00:52currencies were found.
00:54Azam said the money is believed to be linked to a politician suspected of being connected
00:58to the investigation.
