00:00We are at about 5,600 meters right now.
00:24That road there, it's going up to Hlinglak.
00:28It's the highest motorable pass in the whole world, 19,000 feet.
00:38Do you think the Americans are going to make it up there?
00:57Welcome, everyone, to India, land of diversity, of mystery, and of course, the mighty tuk-tuk.
01:26Team CTXP has come halfway around the globe on a very important mission.
01:31Harry couldn't make it, which is why I am here with Zach, and our challenge is to ride
01:35motorcycles to the highest road in the world.
01:39That means we'll be traveling over 1,000 miles through the Himalayan mountains to elevations
01:44over 19,000 feet.
01:47Now there are millions and millions of motorcycles in India, and a couple of them are pretty
01:51obvious choices for this mission.
01:54The reason that we are in Delhi is we are after two motorcycles in particular, and there's
01:59only one place we can get them.
02:12While Triumph is headquartered in England, their bikes are manufactured and assembled
02:16all over the world.
02:19The ones we wanted are built in India, which is why we had to go straight to the source.
02:30This looks promising.
02:31Mm-hmm.
02:32Okie doke, team.
02:35So this might look like just boxes with motorcycles in them in a very humid warehouse, but actually
02:42this is the culmination of many, many months of emails and work with the folks at Triumph.
02:49If the boxes are to be believed, inside we have Triumph's all-new single-cylinder Speed
02:55400 and Scrambler 400X.
03:08That is it.
03:09Yeehaw.
03:13Well, that is pretty.
03:18That's much bigger than I was expecting.
03:20Yeah, seriously.
03:22These bikes aren't available to people yet.
03:25They will be eventually available globally, but even in India, where the bikes are made,
03:30the Speed 400 has only just been released, and the Scrambler 400X is still unreleased.
03:35In fact, this is a prototype pre-production bike that we had to ask very, very nicely
03:40for Triumph to let us use one of these.
03:42So this is a new motorcycle, a new platform, a new engine.
03:46What better way to test a new model line, but to try to take it to the highest road
03:52in the world?
03:53I'm just hoping it's going to be cooler, because I am sweating like a fiend.
04:02Since he was in the market for coolness, Spurgeon chose the Cafe Racer-styled Speed 400.
04:09That left me to ride the Scrambler.
04:11Not so bad, considering it comes with a larger 19-inch front wheel, more suspension travel,
04:16a skid plate, and dirt-curious tires.
04:20Plus, guards for the headlight, radiator, and my precious hands.
04:25I had only one concern.
04:26You have a tapered bar and I don't?
04:29Oh, because mine's braced.
04:30You're a dirt bike.
04:31You're a dirt biker, man.
04:32I'm a dirt bike.
04:33Yeah.
04:34My bar is thicker in the middle, and it tapers down to a skinnier 7-8ths of an inch on the
04:38outside, whereas Zach just has a tiny little 7-8ths-inch bar.
04:43Not about how thick your bar is.
04:46That sounds like something a guy with a skinny bar would say.
04:50In an effort to keep Aerie close to our hearts, as well as present on a CTXP episode, we have
04:57made this little bottle-head figurine, and as far as my mechanical prowess goes, I'm
05:02sitting here trying to figure out how to use zip ties to get Aerie to stay on the back
05:06of my motorcycle.
05:07I think that speaks volumes to the potential failure that could be awaiting Zach and I
05:11should anything go mechanically awry.
05:32The next morning we return to Triumph.
05:35Fully ready to saddle up and head north.
05:40The bikes, and our britches, would never be this clean again.
05:49Umlingwa or bust.
05:51Coming for you, Himalayas.
05:57Okay, buddy.
05:59This is going to be eye-opening for us.
06:02Oh, my God.
06:03Oh, my God.
06:04Look right, ride left.
06:05Look right, ride left.
06:06Right?
06:07Look right, ride left.
06:16We began our journey in Gurugram, a business district just south of Delhi.
06:21And our plan for the first day of riding was to make it to the mountain town of Mandi,
06:26approximately 300 miles to the north.
06:29The first hurdle was simply getting out of the city.
06:35We got a lot to get used to, buddy.
06:37Riding on the left side of the road, which is weird for us Americans.
06:42And then there's cows pretty much everywhere.
06:45Then there's people everywhere.
06:47Pedestrians everywhere.
06:48Oh, my God.
06:49I was looking at a cow and I didn't see that there's a giant pile of concrete in the middle
06:53of the road.
06:54That's probably going to be a theme.
06:56I will say that I feel like I'm bottoming out the rear shock pretty good with my packing
07:02job and my American girth.
07:05Well, can I just interrupt you to say this for a moment?
07:08Please, please do.
07:09You look fantastic.
07:26It took us almost six hours to escape the urban chokehold of Delhi.
07:31It was slow going and brutally hot.
07:35But it was a good chance to get familiar with the bikes.
07:40Plus, Bobblehead Airy was having a great time.
07:45After stuffing our faces with paratha at the world famous Amritsar Sukhdev,
07:49we got back on the road and finally got a break from the heat.
07:54But unfortunately, not the humidity.
08:01It started raining.
08:04The problem is the water just keeps rising.
08:07There's not much drainage to the rain.
08:10But we're in the way of traffic and we got to breathe somehow.
08:13So, we'll get to 500.
08:21We wandered around looking for shelter.
08:24But it turned out the gate was closed.
08:26We wandered around looking for shelter.
08:29But it turned out that getting wet wasn't our biggest problem.
08:33We were told that if we didn't make it past the town of Mandi by tonight,
08:37the roads we needed to access the Himalayas might wash away completely.
08:41And our trip would be over.
08:45We were originally planning on stopping at Mandi tonight, which is about...
08:48How far away?
08:49Three hours away, something like that.
08:50Three hours away, which would have been doable.
08:52But then, because there's supposed to be rain tomorrow,
08:55we're trying to figure out if we should push through to Manali, which is...
08:58Eight hours away?
08:59Eight hours away.
09:00Which means that we could potentially be riding,
09:04what do you call it, about midnight.
09:06In some darkness.
09:09One other situation report we need to make you aware of is that we lost Bobblehead Area.
09:13And that is very sad.
09:15If Bobblehead Area, just like Real Life Area, I'm sure it would want us to continue on.
09:26In the time it took us to wring out our gloves and say a prayer for Bobblehead Area,
09:31the storm had passed and we were back on the road.
09:37If nothing else,
09:41Spurgeon was really getting the hang of traffic in India.
09:44Some sort of gateway here.
09:45National Highway Authority, India welcomes you.
09:47Tunnel number one.
09:48Length, 1,800 meters.
09:50Holy Moses.
09:53This is probably the scariest tunnel that I have ever been in.
09:58It's just like hazy with dust.
10:00And all you can see is lights and shapes.
10:04I'm having a hard time seeing.
10:06It's just like hazy with dust.
10:08And all you can see is lights and shapes.
10:11I'm having a hard time seeing.
10:13I'm having a hard time breathing.
10:15Like I'm chewing on sand.
10:17There's the end.
10:19Oh, here we go.
10:27Oh, dude, look at this.
10:29This is absolutely freaking gorgeous.
10:31Yeah, it's very severe, but also lush.
10:37No, no, no, no.
10:38Oh, oh, oh.
10:39Wow.
10:41Okey dokey.
10:43Maybe don't look so much at the scenery.
10:50Zach and I were just talking about how nice it is.
10:53And how the weather had turned around.
10:56And for as crazy of a day that we had, the rain had stopped.
11:00And we were just in for a nice easy ride.
11:04Famous last words.
11:11It's, what, like 9 o'clock at night?
11:14And we've been riding since 6 o'clock this morning?
11:17Yep.
11:18And we have covered an amazingly short amount of distance.
11:23Not for lack of trying.
11:25But because average speeds on road trips in India are evidently pretty low.
11:30And we've been riding since 6 o'clock this morning.
11:33Yep.
11:34And we've been riding since 6 o'clock this morning.
11:37And average speeds on road trips in India are evidently pretty low.
11:40We thought we might be able to beat the system, but you just can't do it.
11:45Yeah, we were supposed to, I mean, we should be pulling into our stopping point in about an hour.
11:50But we're going to have to keep going for fear of the road being closed.
11:55So that's adding an extra four and a half hours onto our ride into the evening.
12:00So we probably won't get to our hotel until around 1 a.m. at this point.
12:05Woe is us.
12:08I'm going to fall asleep so easily tonight.
12:11Oh my God.
12:19This main road is closed.
12:21There's a landslide ahead.
12:23There's a huge traffic jam.
12:25They say we won't reach till the morning.
12:27There's another route which goes up and then goes down.
12:30Now they've got a connection from there.
12:33Okay.
12:35We are still going to keep going.
12:37We are just going to go to a long cut as opposed to the short cut.
12:42So at this point, we probably won't get there until...
12:46He didn't say.
12:48We've got to keep going.
12:56Our first day on the road was about to become our second day on the road.
13:00It seemed like our best option for avoiding a permanent road closure
13:04was to ride overnight and reroute through the mountains.
13:10A brilliant idea shared by every other driver trying to get to Manali.
13:23I don't know what time it is anymore.
13:27I genuinely don't know what time it is.
13:31I think I might just go to sleep right here.
13:35No one's ever been hurt from laying down in a road in India before, have they?
13:45With traffic in front of us and behind us,
13:48our only option was to sit in line and wait through the night.
13:53Being soaked or jet-lagged or not sleeping
13:58would each be good reasons to be fed up with the situation.
14:02We were all of those things.
14:05And the adrenaline of starting the trip had fully worn off.
14:13It's five o'clock in the morning,
14:15the morning after we were supposed to have arrived to the place that we are not to yet.
14:21We are extremely behind schedule and extremely tired.
14:25It is a little after 7 a.m.,
14:51which means that we have been officially riding for over 24 hours.
14:57Zach, however, informs me that that doesn't count as 24 hours.
15:01It's actually more riding.
15:03I think 25 hours straight of riding counts as more than one day of riding.
15:07Yeah, that's all I mean.
15:09So, yeah, day one in the books. Easy peasy.
15:12We'll just get a quick bite to eat.
15:15And then we will hit the road again.
15:18And we'll sleep when we're dead.
15:32After a luxurious four hours of sleep,
15:35we got back into our damp gear and settled up to keep climbing.
15:39Our next stop, the town of Jispa, was only 60 miles out.
15:43But we learned the hard way that distance doesn't tell the whole story when riding in India.
15:49We are proper socked in.
16:12We should be.
16:14Yeah, there we go.
16:17The Atal Tunnel.
16:28This tunnel is the longest single tube tunnel in the world at almost five and a half miles.
16:35Five and a half miles.
16:38Burrowed straight through the Himalayas.
16:41Pretty impressive.
16:43Do you ever do the thing where you try to hold your breath through a tunnel?
16:47Yeah, I remember doing that as a little kid.
16:49And it would be inadvisable, I would say, for this tunnel.
16:53Apparently, some people refer to it as a portal, not just a tunnel.
16:59Because when you come out the other side, the weather, the scenery all looks completely different.
17:14Wow.
17:19It really is absolutely breathtaking.
17:23I mean, the other side was pretty, but this is just wow.
17:29All right, 17 inch rims, rubbery footpegs, washed out road.
17:35What could go wrong?
17:37Oh, yeah.
17:38Oh, yeah.
17:39Oh, yeah.
17:42Oh, look at that.
17:44Nice, man.
17:46You just motored it.
17:50That puddle just got scrambled.
17:59Back on pavement and a sunset to ride into.
18:02Life's good, Spurgeo. Life's good.
18:11All right.
18:30How am I feeling?
18:32That's what the director wants to know.
18:34You've got to be feeling pretty good.
18:36I mean, we finally got more than three hours of sleep.
18:40We got almost six and a half hours of sleep last night.
18:43And we went to sleep in the nighttime and woke up in the daytime, which is always nice.
18:48We're crushing it over here.
18:51Okay, so today, CTX peers, we dive into the heart of the Himalayas.
18:58And we head through Shingola, a pass of nearly 16,500 feet.
19:03We hope our lungs survive.
19:05And if we do, we'll make it to the town of Padum for the night.
19:08And I guess I don't have anything else to say about it except I'm looking forward to it.
19:11We have about 140 kilometers to go, which means it'll take us about 13 hours to get there.
19:25Rather than take the highway to our next major city, we opted for the road less traveled.
19:31A route through the first of many tall mountain passes, long stretches without pavement, and some questionable road conditions.
20:01Okay, we're climbing.
20:08Spurge, the altitude is definitely starting to affect the performance of our engines here.
20:16For sure, the bikes are starting to suck wind a little bit, which is fair because the altimeter on my bar here has about 15,000 feet right now.
20:29Which is the highest I have ever been.
20:31I think before this, like 13.9 and change was my previous record.
20:36So I'm beating records here.
20:39It's getting real, you might say.
20:41And I mean, we're climbing fast, going back and forth through these switchbacks.
20:46It's pretty cool, Spurge.
20:48This is pretty cool.
20:50God, look at those mountains over there, man.
20:52Holy cow.
20:53It's hard to focus on the road is what it is.
20:55Yeah, it is actually.
20:58I wish Bob LaHenri was here to see it.
21:02Poor little guy.
21:04I say we pull over and take this in for just a minute.
21:12The thin air was sapping the bike's power and our strength.
21:16But we had made it to the top of our first pass higher than we'd ever been.
21:22Even in the late summer, snow-capped peaks towered in every direction.
21:27Feeding streams and rivers that flow across the entire country.
21:31Including some of their roads.
21:36We're in straight up glacier runoff river valley, it seems, huh?
21:41Looks like we're going to have to go through some of this water.
21:46Oh, whoa.
21:47Yeah.
21:49Slipped on a rock.
21:53Wow.
21:55So, would you call this a river or a road or both?
21:59Oh, this is the road.
22:01Kind of hard to tell the difference.
22:04This is a bad display of infrastructure, but it's pretty cool adventure riding.
22:09Oh, man.
22:11Oh, my God.
22:13To be honest, are you jealous of my scrambler?
22:15I'm a little bit jealous of your chest position and your ability to be able to stand up easier.
22:24Oh, my God.
22:25It's not over.
22:26Oh, man.
22:27This looks really fast moving.
22:28Oh, my God.
22:29Okay.
22:30Okay.
22:31Just going for it.
22:32Just going for it.
22:33Ah.
22:34Ah.
22:35Ah.
22:36Woo.
22:37That was awesome.
22:42These bikes are proven to be little champions.
22:50An incredible day so far.
22:52We've boarded rivers.
22:53We've enjoyed scenery, and we just had a fantastic meal, and the bikes are doing great.
22:57What more could you ask for?
22:58There's not a lot more that could go right, frankly.
23:02About 50 kilometers to go, we think, down out of this valley following the river, and
23:06then, yeah, we'll go over another little pass and on to the town of Padum and hopefully
23:12day three success.
23:20Considering how much we struggled on the pavement getting to the mountains, it came as a welcome
23:25surprise that our first day of riding these machines off the beaten path was a success.
23:35We still hit the occasional delay, but there was no denying that things were looking up
23:40for Team CTXP and the Tiny Triumphs.
24:11Well, that is absolutely gorgeous.
24:28That's Padum sunset for you.
24:30We've arrived.
24:32Another hundred miles in the books.
24:34Through a big pass, many a water crossing, many a bumpy road, a couple of obstacles.
24:39Altogether, a great day.
24:41But I think, if anything, we are ready for some food at this point.
24:45Food, sleep, do it again tomorrow.
24:47Hot darn.
24:58The plan the next day was to ride from our lovely little hotel in Padum through the Zanskar
25:03Valley on a road that had just been completed.
25:07We hoped.
25:09It was supposed to be our longest day riding in the dirt, and we had been warned.
25:14It might be a tough one.
25:18So Zach and I were having a lovely dinner last night.
25:21We pulled out the map, and it turns out that the ride is twice as long as the ride we did
25:27yesterday.
25:28And when we started talking to people at the dinner table, they looked at us like we were
25:31crazy, because apparently the road gets, what was the word?
25:36Terrible?
25:37Yeah.
25:38Yeah.
25:39This one German lady laughed at us.
25:40She said, I've never been that way, but I've heard it's terrible.
25:43So that is what we have in store for us today.
25:46It's a little hard to imagine being twice as tired tonight as we were last night, but
25:52that's what we've got ahead of us.
25:55And there's nothing to do but tackle it, yeah?
25:58We've got to burn some miles, so wish us luck.
26:01Let us ride.
26:14It didn't take long for the pavement to disappear, but the road conditions didn't seem any worse
26:20than what we had already been through.
26:23The route was a work in progress, but it was working.
26:30For the most part.
26:34Trials and tribulations of travel on these roads that are very much a construction.
26:41We're going to have to jump the bikes up over that dirt berm.
26:46Yeah, that's scrambler territory if I've ever seen it.
26:54After navigating a few delays, we settled into a groove and found ourselves on some
26:58of the most incredible roads we have seen anywhere in the world.
27:13The Zanskar Valley is a type of place that truly defies words.
27:19So severe and massive and empty, it feels like a different planet.
27:29Maybe that's why people told us the road was terrible.
27:32To protect this special place for just a little bit longer.
27:36The Spurginator and I are making great time after that Indiana Jones off-road section.
27:48We're back on the straight and narrow.
27:51We're just on the outskirts of where we're going to stop tonight.
27:53But we're feeling frisky.
27:54We might just push on, yeah?
27:55We're just going to ride to the town of Neoma.
27:58We will then be at a position tomorrow morning where we can ride to the highest road in the world.
28:06Which means our mission will be complete.
28:08And we'll be higher than we've ever been before.
28:11So to speak, of course.
28:13So yeah, this is the final fuel stop before the highest road in the world.
28:17We're full up.
28:18We're at sort of a fork in the road here.
28:20And as long as the crew is okay with it, we're going to make sure we have enough supplies.
28:25And we're going to push on to Neoma, which will be base camp for our trek to the top of the world.
28:55We're drifting into the town of Neoma.
29:11The altimeter is reading right around 14,000 feet.
29:15We weren't able to find a hotel in town.
29:20But we were able to rent a house.
29:23And now we're just trying to find it.
29:25I think we might have passed it.
29:27Did we?
29:28Yeah, I think for what it's worth we went too far.
29:32So we should probably turn around.
29:33Okay.
29:35Turning around.
29:42Is this it?
29:43No, I think it's down here.
29:44I think it's down here.
29:45Down there?
29:46Yeah.
29:47I think it's a sign with the guest house.
29:50Okay.
29:53Is that our host?
29:56So this must be it.
29:59Is it okay to park the bikes back here?
30:03We can bring the motorcycles around here?
30:05Okay.
30:06Okay.
30:07Cool.
30:13Hello, sir.
30:14Hello.
30:16This one?
30:17This one here?
30:22We are what I feel like is pretty obviously tired.
30:28But also, dare I say, satisfied after a good day of riding.
30:34It was a great day of riding.
30:35Yeah.
30:36I mean, we crushed a lot of miles.
30:38And we had fun.
30:41We did not make it here before dark, in case you didn't notice that.
30:46But the good news is it's not crazy late.
30:50Because it turns out the town closest to the highest motorable road in the world,
30:55Umling La,
30:56foreigners are not allowed to stay there.
30:58And we are very much, if nothing else, foreigners.
31:02So we have to stay here in lovely Nyoma,
31:04which has been great so far.
31:06But it is farther away.
31:08And that means we head out to the top of the world at 6 a.m.
31:13And we're tired.
31:15And we're hungry.
31:17So it's time to get the cameras out of the room,
31:20so that we can eat and sleep.
31:25Now, goodbye.
31:28Go.
31:48Go.
31:52The sun is bright.
31:54Crispy morning.
31:56At 14,000 feet.
31:59I would say this is the coldest start we've had yet.
32:02It's almost welcome.
32:05To not be sweating immediately.
32:18The valley that Zach and I are cruising through right now
32:22is pretty much at the same level
32:26as the tallest peaks in the continental U.S.
32:31How are you feeling, Spurge?
32:33I had a hard time sleeping last night, if I'm being honest.
32:35And when I woke up this morning, it was just so cold.
32:38And I was like,
32:39I don't want to go to sleep.
32:40I want to go to sleep.
32:41I want to go to sleep.
32:42I want to go to sleep.
32:43I want to go to sleep.
32:44I had a hard time sleeping last night, if I'm being honest.
32:46And when I woke up this morning,
32:47it was just, you felt like a little kid on Christmas morning.
32:50Like, we're going to do it.
32:52How about yourself?
32:54I don't know if I share the sense of accomplishment quite.
32:58I'm still a little bit nervous that, you know,
33:00something stops us short of achieving the ultimate goal here.
33:05But you can't say it's not exciting.
33:15Because Umling La and the Ladakh region share a border with China,
33:19there is a huge military presence.
33:22Geopolitically, it's a little tense,
33:25and there's a general feeling that travelers should tread lightly.
33:29Luckily, we got through without any issues.
33:32And before long, we had a decision to make.
33:38So we have arrived in Hanlei,
33:40So we have arrived in Hanlei,
33:42and we've reached a literal fork in the road.
33:45If you notice the sign behind me,
33:47it says that this is the way to Umling La.
33:50However, we were actually talking to another rider here,
33:53and he was letting us know that there is an alternate route that goes yonder.
33:57Correctamundo.
33:58Which makes it a figurative fork in the road as well, right?
34:02You got 90 to 100 kilometers that way, paved to Umling La.
34:06You got 70 or 80 kilometers that way, dirt to Umling La.
34:10And that makes it a dirt road shortcut.
34:12And at CTXP, we are contractually obligated to take every dirt road shortcut,
34:16because it is often fun or just the right amount of disaster.
34:21We don't have a choice.
34:22But these bikes have already proven themselves.
34:25So we know that they're going to handle this with ease.
34:28I'm pretty excited. I think that we're doing okay.
34:31So let's go have some fun.
34:36
34:49Washboard.
34:51The international symbol of riding on a dirt road.
34:57The suspension is working on this bike.
34:59Yeah.
35:00Not that hard to overwhelm it.
35:03One, two, three.
35:06
35:14A Himalayan triumph of epic proportions.
35:16
35:22We're climbing. Spurs are climbing up above this valley.
35:25Oh, oh, soft, soft, soft.
35:28That is a weird material.
35:30What is that?
35:31It's like moon dust.
35:33It is.
35:34Oh, oh, oh.
35:36Woo.
35:38Woo-wee.
35:40
35:46Woo-hoo.
35:47Come on, little speed.
35:49Oh, God. Oh, God.
35:52Oh, God.
35:57Zach's over there, just sucking my dust.
36:00
36:06Our dirt shortcut was a dusty, messy success.
36:10But as the air got thinner, we started to realize
36:13that we had to do something about it.
36:16Our dirt shortcut was a dusty, messy success.
36:20But as the air got thinner,
36:22we started to feel the weight of this destination.
36:27We were approaching the border
36:29of the two most populous countries in the world.
36:34And what we found was almost complete nothingness.
36:39We felt like tiny visitors to a huge place.
36:43But nature had one more message to make us feel small.
36:48
37:01Well, India had to give it to us one last time.
37:06Only Allah would let us get to the top
37:09without snow, sleet, rain.
37:11It's a little bit of all of that mixed together.
37:15Quite a welcome to the world's highest road.
37:18
37:23It's definitely turning to snow.
37:30Okay, kids.
37:32We are in a full-on sleet storm, snow flurry, whatever,
37:39and we are passing all sorts of very encouraging signs
37:43which say stuff like,
37:44you are now higher than Everest Base Camp.
37:47
37:53Months to get to this point.
37:56Passports that were expired.
37:58Visas that were denied.
38:00Flights that were almost missed.
38:03It took us so much to get here.
38:06It was 19,000 miles, 19,000 minutes to hit 19,000 feet.
38:13It certainly feels like it, doesn't it?
38:16Dude, look at those mountains peeking over the top.
38:19Holy cow.
38:21That is way too cool.
38:23Oh, look at that.
38:25Oh, woo-hoo-hoo.
38:27Beep, beep, beep.
38:29Beep, beep, beep.
38:32The things you can do on a motorcycle,
38:34the places it can take you,
38:36the adventures you can have, the friends you can make.
38:39The feelings you can feel.
38:40The feelings you can feel.
38:42Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha.
38:45I see it.
38:46It's up ahead.
38:47There it is.
38:49
38:55Bro welcomes you.
38:57The highest motorable pass in the world.
39:02Woo-hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo.
39:04Give me a bump, man.
39:05Oh, dude.
39:06Nicely done.
39:08Ha-ha-ha-ha.
39:11There are certain experiences in one's life that take your breath away.
39:17And I think this is one of them.
39:19And I think the reason that our breath is gone is probably pretty obvious.
39:24Nice job, buddy.
39:26Good ride.
39:27Oh.
39:28Ha-ha-ha-ha.
39:30Woo.
39:31Oh.
39:32Oh.
39:34I don't even care that I'm cold.
39:36Ha-ha-ha.
39:38If we taught the world nothing about Triumph's new 400cc platform,
39:45we taught them that it can go to 19,000 feet if they want.
39:48There you go.
39:49If there's a will, there's a way.
39:51Ha-ha-ha-ha.
39:53Oh.
39:55Ha-ha-ha-ha.
39:57Ha-ha-ha-ha.
39:59Ha-ha-ha-ha.
40:01Ha-ha-ha-ha.
40:03Ha-ha-ha-ha.
40:06Triumph's new singles probably weren't designed to reach for snowy peaks
40:12or ride through rivers.
40:17But hopefully now, after a trip through the most famous mountain range in the world,
40:22nobody will need to wonder if they could.
40:28For most of this adventure, we were worried about our own limitations.
40:34Learning to navigate traffic in India.
40:39Trying to breathe at 15,000 or 20,000 feet.
40:44Even just finding a place to sleep was occasionally a challenge.
40:49Still, there's nothing better than tackling a bucket list motorcycle adventure.
40:58It can make you feel like you're on top of the world.
41:02And this time, we actually were.
41:19Hey there, Common Dread experts!
41:43Zach and Spurge here with a quick reminder of the sponsor of this video, which is quite simple.
41:48It's just the YouTube channel that you're watching.
41:50RevZilla produces these videos to entertain, but to also inspire you
41:54to perhaps get out and take a motorcycle road trip of your own.
41:57So the next time you need a helmet, a jacket, a pair of gloves, or some tires for your road trip,
42:02just remember that a little bit of the money that you spend on those products
42:06goes to producing content like this.
42:08Something you can keep in mind, we hope, next time you need something for you or your bike.
42:12In the meantime, thanks very much for watching, and we'll see you next time.
