00:00This is the case of Lim Peh from Banting.
00:03She is a banker from HSBC.
00:06Her husband is also a banker from Hong Kong.
00:10She gave birth to her child in the UK.
00:12And now she works at the HSBC office in Hong Kong.
00:16So, since she gave birth to this child on 13th September,
00:20in December, she registered at the consulate office.
00:24But, recently, the letter was rejected.
00:28But, she asked me,
00:29Can you tell me why I was rejected?
00:33Because of that, I said,
00:35I agree with the government's decision
00:37that we should not do it retrospectively.
00:40Okay.
00:41But, in this case,
00:435,798 cases were rejected.
00:46What should we do to help them?
00:50Just one thing.
00:51From the feedback I received,
00:53this case, at least, I can tell you,
00:55why did they fail?
00:57And, from that,
00:59what can be done
01:01so that they can ask for a process
01:03of what needs to be done?
01:05I hope that the government,
01:06this is for the sake of good.
01:08If the government has completed 67%,
01:11I understand that it is not worth it.
01:13But, if it is a genuine case,
01:15like what Esther went through,
01:17Rachel, every time she received a letter,
01:19it was rejected, she cried.
01:21There is no other way.
01:22Because she did not know that her child was rejected.
01:25So, of course, there needs to be an SOP.
01:29For 15A and 19A,
01:33I think the SOP needs to be clear
01:36to help those
01:38who are still valuing the citizens.
01:41And, I see in this case,
01:43yes, it is true,
01:44it is not retrospective,
01:46but there is an action against the cases
01:48that before the Movement Law was in force.
01:52That is why I ask the Minister to look at this.
01:55And one more thing,
01:57I ask that the SOP
01:59can be released more clearly.
02:02And when the age of 21
02:06is reduced to 18,
02:08I hope it will have a positive impact,
02:12speed up the issue,
02:14but we do not compromise
02:16in terms of conditions and conditions.
02:18So, I think if it was too long ago,
02:20sometimes even the Minister,
02:22the Minister has not seen the file.
02:24Sometimes we can't even hold a referendum,
02:26because the file has not reached the Minister.
02:28That is why I ask,
02:29so that we can look back.
02:31I started by helping the case of the citizens
02:33at the age of 25.
02:35When I became a member of the Parliament,
02:38I started.
02:39It's been 30 years.
02:41This is the hardship
02:43that has been experienced by mothers
02:45and those who still value
02:48the citizens of the country.
02:50So, in conclusion,
02:52I support this move.
02:55I think it is a good thing for Malaysia.
02:58And I also support it.
03:00When you hear the views
03:02of the Florentine family and other NGOs,
03:05including the children who are affected.
03:08In the past, there was a slightly different view.
03:11And because of our love,
03:13our caring attitude,
03:15we have done something
03:17and given guarantees.
03:19I once again appeal to the citizens
03:21in this case.
03:23If we look at it,
03:25it may not be 100% perfect.
03:27Guarantees can be given by the government.
03:29When there is still a little
03:31that there is still a law
03:33that has not yet been able to solve
03:35more effectively.
03:37Please, we give guarantees.
03:39Guarantees so that this matter
03:41can be overcome one by one,
03:43in order to improve.
03:45This way, we can complete
03:47this long-standing issue.
03:49And I hear this
03:51supports 100%
03:53this pride move.
