00:00Good news for our countrymen, PhilHealth Beneficiary.

00:04The agency is now effective in increasing their benefit package for beneficiaries who are receiving hemodialysis.

00:17It was only this February when Joselyn Chato, 49 years old, was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease Stage 5.

00:25She got the disease because of high blood pressure.

00:28At first, I thought I was just acidic.

00:32I couldn't even stand up.

00:37My knees were aching.

00:39I couldn't take it anymore.

00:42She has been receiving hemodialysis for almost 8 months.

00:47She is very happy to hear that PhilHealth has increased their benefit package for beneficiaries who are receiving hemodialysis.

00:54Like in the laboratory, the coverage of PhilHealth is limited.

00:59But now, it is increased.

01:02Almost everyone is covered by PhilHealth.

01:04But now, you can continue to receive treatment because it is free.

01:09Joselyn is the only one of the CKD-5 patients who will benefit from the new adjustment of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation of PhilHealth

01:19in its benefit package for hemodialysis.

01:22In accordance with PhilHealth Circular No. 2024-0023, which was effective on October 7,

01:30under the new adjustment, from Php 4,000 per session,

01:35it has been increased to Php 6,350 that can be available in accredited dialysis facilities.

01:42This means that the qualified CKD-5 patients can now receive Php 990,600 of financial protection per year from the previous Php 624,000.

01:56In addition to the free essential services that patients can benefit from,

02:01there are anti-coagulation medications and drugs and medicines for her,

02:06various laboratory tests, supplies such as dialyzers, hemodialysis solutions, and dialysis kit per session.

02:15Administrative fees are also included here, such as the use of dialysis machines, facility fee, utilities, and staff time.

02:23I am thankful to PhilHealth for the great help for our dialysis patients.

02:29It is really a great thing or a great help for us.

02:32It's like we have a chance to live for a long time.
