00:00So they have a day off today in the NLCS as they travel across the country from Los Angeles
00:10to Queens City Field is where they will be tomorrow night for game number three.
00:16We were on the air yesterday for the early part of this game that's jumping out to a
00:20six nothing lead on the Dodgers.
00:22They were able to hold on to that for a seven to three final series now tied one game a
00:28piece.
00:29We didn't know early on Mark Viento Scottie the grand slam after they walked Lindor intentionally
00:36Mets radio 880 for Howie.
00:39Here's the payoff pitch swing and a drive in the air pretty well hit right center by
00:43his back at the track near the wall it is gone a grand slam for Mark Viento on a three
00:52to pitch.
00:53He clears the bases hitting it into the pavilion and right center field Mark Viento's with
01:00the Mets second grand slam of the postseason his third postseason home run has given the
01:06Mets a six to nothing lead honest to God this guy calling these games is just so fantastic.
01:14I mean can you even like we played the Sterling against this guy.
01:19It's embarrassing.
01:20It really is like they dusted this guy out of the old folks home.
01:24There's no disrespect.
01:25I mean the guy's 150 but honestly the guy retired is there.
01:29I've never seen a guy retire and then what is he a boxer.
01:33The guy comes back for the last fight.
01:36What is he Tyson.
01:37OK.
01:38Now you got this guy Howie Rose going again.
01:40There's no one even close to him doing anything.
01:42They got this guy Davis doing Dodger game.
01:45He can't hold his onions either.
01:47Howie Rose setting the bar like so far above everyone else.
01:52Like can you imagine Bob Costas doing those games compared to Howie Rose.
01:56It's laughable.
01:57Not really.
01:58How he's done all this that I've been saying about him over these last few weeks.
02:04Like I've never heard anyone call games this exciting on the radio in my life.
02:08How he's doing it now he has been outstanding so far in the booth for the Mets so they will
02:15head home now 1 1.
02:17Now Lindor opened that game with that solo home run in the top of the first inning leadoff
02:22homer for him.
02:23Carlos Mendoza said yes the Antos had the big blow but it was Lindor who set the tone
02:30for what was going to happen out in Los Angeles.
02:32Not just because of the homer but the way he attacked him fall off a couple of pitches
02:39laid off a couple of breaking balls and then got a pitch in and drove it to kind of set
02:45the tone right.
02:46But I thought overall we had really good at bats up and down and obviously the Antos
02:51with the big one but especially as a pitching staff what they've done the past few games
02:56and it's been hard on a bullpen day where you don't know what you're going to be facing.
03:00For us to get the first one across the board was important.
03:05Listen Mike the Phillies found out the hard way.
03:09The Dodgers better be very careful because the Mets are so good.
03:15They really are.
03:17I mean just playing phenomenal baseball and they could literally come home and win all
03:21three games at Citi Field.
03:22I know that sounds insane but they took both games from the Phillies and it was over.
03:27That was it.
03:28They played games three and four and it was over.
