00:00We'll start with game number six in the NLCS last night at the
00:04ravine between the Dodgers and the Mets in Los Angeles, the New
00:09York Mets triumphant on offense on Friday to extend this series
00:14and send it back to Los Angeles. But it was the Dodgers showing
00:18that dominance once again in everything that they can do at
00:22the dish. LA wins 10 to five in game number six to quench that
00:27ticket to a World Series, the fourth nationally pennant for
00:31the Dodgers in their last 12 years, where they have made the
00:34postseason all 12 seasons. Shohei Otani in RBI, Mookie Betts,
00:40a couple of RBIs. But Donnie, the story of the NLCS might have
00:44been Tommy Edmond at the dish. He had four RBIs yesterday and a
00:49two run shot to really extend the Dodgers lead early. LA
00:53triumphant in game number six, getting to Shawminaya. The
00:57Dodgers win 10 to five to earn that berth in the 2024 World
01:01Series.
01:02It's pretty crazy the way it played out, right? You take a
01:04look at the Mets in the run, they get into that little
01:06doubleheader on a Monday to try to squeak into the playoffs. The
01:09Brewers aren't a great hitting team. The Phillies were
01:11absolutely horrendous at the plate. But then you ran into a
01:13team that can absolutely mash. It doesn't matter what pitcher
01:16you're putting out there. The Shawminayas of the world, you're
01:18taking a look at other pitchers in that lineup that the Phillies
01:21would just be swinging and missing a ball six to eight
01:23inches off of the plate routinely. The Dodgers didn't
01:25do that. They made that pitching stand for the Mets pay. That's a
01:28great season for the Mets overall. But you just ran into a
01:30Dodgers team that was absolutely red hot. And also, Ben, let's
01:33just think about the future of the Dodgers. So many times I
01:36think about like the Chiefs like last year, you better get the
01:38Chiefs now because they're only going to improve their team. The
01:40Chiefs didn't improve their team. They just got injured this
01:42year. But the reason I bring it up with the Dodgers is the
01:45Dodgers in a pivotal game six through a bullpen game against
01:48the New York Mets. In the future, Ben, that's not going to
01:51happen. Let's just say you don't have every single starter on
01:53your staff go down with injury, right? Next year, when Charlie
01:55Otani comes back and pitches on the mound, you probably add
01:58another frontline starter here. That's not going to be the case.
02:01So the Dodgers making it to the World Series with a it's unfair
02:05to say a below average starting pitching staff, but quite
02:07frankly, a major league baseball the way it played out, it really
02:10isn't good. But the fact that they're able to get to the
02:12series with basically a bullpen pitching their games and being
02:16dominant, I don't have any words for
