00:00Hi everyone, Matt Watson here. So I'm in my little Fiat 126p, my Malou, and I'm going to explain to you
00:07why this is the best car for driving in London. So one of the best things about it is that it's tiny.
00:17So I want to go the other way,
00:20which means I'm going to have to do a U-turn because I want to show you something.
00:25And it's so simple.
00:28Full lock, wait for a gap,
00:32and off we go.
00:36Also, you can just drive between those speed humps without having to slow down.
00:43Now in London, there are lots of width restrictors and when I'm driving
00:48big cars
00:50with expensive alloys, they do worry me.
00:53So here's one coming up now.
00:56Oh, look at it! That was close for him, but for me, I don't care.
01:00I can just accelerate through them because I have all the room in the world because this car is just so narrow.
01:08Now here's another width restrictor.
01:15Once again, far too easy. I also have no fear from dead ends.
01:25Look at this moron parked in the way, but I should just be able to fit through this.

01:43Actually, that is just the best thing ever.

01:51The next thing I want to show you is parking at the supermarket because
01:55sometimes it can be a pain when it's very, very busy.

02:07Here we have a trolley park, but I need to reverse into it. Right, let's see if I can pop this guy into that gap.
02:16Should be able to fit.
02:25And voila! I think that'll do. Also, it keeps the rain off it, which is great.

02:42Another thing you can do with this car
02:44is slipstream other traffic
02:47when you have a lead from an ambulance.
02:50Get all cheeky like that.

03:00Don't hate me. Another great thing about driving this car in London is that there's a lot of cyclists around here,
03:06so you can often race them because you're matched quite evenly for performance.
03:12Now, let's see if I can find a cyclist who wants to race.

04:02you getting yourselves one of these little Polish Fiats. If you're wondering how much this cost me, it was about
04:09£2,500 all in with buying the car, getting it fixed up and having it shipped back to the UK

04:19Another thing this car is good for is just filtering through what gaps you may find in the horrendous London traffic.
04:26Like, oh, there we go. Through there nicely.
04:29People don't seem to mind letting you in in this car either.
04:33They feel sort of sorry for you.
04:36Now, this road I'm on now is called the Westway. It's the A40. It used to be a 50 limit,
04:41but now it's a 40 limit and they've got cameras all over the place as well.
04:44That's kind of good for me because I do not want to drive this car at 50 miles an hour,
04:49even though it can just about do it.
04:52And yeah, you don't want to crash one of these things because as the Polish say,
04:55the crumple zones end at the engine, which is in the back of the car.
05:00So effectively, I'd be part of the crumple zone.

05:11Now, have you ever been to a car wash
05:13and thought, oh,
05:15the thing I don't like about the car wash

05:32it can just fit through no problem at all.

05:37going to get it washed though because

05:42dissolve this car
05:44because they don't like getting wet. They rust very, very easily.
05:51Anyway, I'm going to take it now to the Polish War Memorial.
05:55I've got an interesting story, actually. So
05:58the Polish who were free, who escaped Poland in the Second World War
06:03and came over to Britain, those who could fly planes joined the RAF and
06:08there was a squadron mainly made up of Polish pilots called 303
06:12and they had the highest kill rate in the whole
06:16Royal Air Force during the Second World War and some great stories about it. For instance, if it was really cloudy and
06:23they could hear the German bombers going ahead, the British pilots would be like, oh no, old boy,
06:28I'm not going up in this piece, super. It's guaranteed suicide.
06:32Whereas the Polish guys would be like, hold my zebra
06:36and they'd go up.
06:37Even though it was super risky, they couldn't really see when they were taking off,
06:41just for the opportunity to exact revenge on the Germans.
06:47So here it is just over here.
06:54Oh, this is another good thing about this car, you don't have to worry about the keep clears because it's so short.

08:08and blast through this tunnel.

08:36It basically sounded like a bee having a fart.
08:41So yeah, I think the other car vloggers with their Lamborghinis and Ferraris
08:46are safe.
08:48I can't match them on that content front.
08:52I'm about to do something very rare in this little Malou and that is overtake another vehicle.
