00:00Everton have endured a difficult start to the Premier League campaign but there have
00:04been a couple of standout players to talk about.
00:07Currently sat 16th in the Premier League, Everton have only found form in recent weeks
00:11drawing 0-0 with Newcastle United before the international break.
00:15While the team has struggled overall there have been a few standout key performers and
00:20courtesy of WhoScored we've decided to compile the best three players from the website for
00:25average player rating across the season so far.
00:28Starting with third place it's James Tarkovsky with a rating of 6.77.
00:32An ever present for Dyche so far during his reign at Everton, he still hasn't missed a
00:37game since joining Everton in the league across two seasons and seven games of this season
00:42so far which is a brilliant record.
00:44And it is clear how key he is for Everton, not just defensively but in the opposition
00:49box as well and he will continue to be a key player for the duration of his Everton career
00:54however long that may be.
00:56Coming in at number two is Illuminen Dey with a rating of 7.17.
01:00The summer signing has been a real bright spark since arriving from Marseille in the
01:04summer.
01:05Fans have waited a long time for a player who excites them and gets them off their seat
01:09and he clearly possesses a lot of technical and individual quality.
01:13He also works extremely hard as well off the ball and his defensive numbers are very high
01:17for an attacker.
01:18He's also made three goal line clearances so far which is just a very niche fact to
01:23consider but he has been really, really effective and like I said he is a player with immense
01:30quality and will be key for Everton if they have any hopes of getting up and away from
01:35the relegation battle and he will be a key player for sure.
01:39And Everton's highest rated player so far is Dwight McNeil with 7.45.
01:45No doubt Everton's standout performance so far, McNeil has adopted a more central position
01:51since Dey's arrival, playing in a sort of attacking number 10 role which has given him
01:56more license to be creative and more effective from the central areas.
02:01We saw him score two goals against Bristol Palace that gave Everton their only win of
02:05the season so far in the league.
02:07We also saw him star against Aston Villa as well with a goal and an assist and it is clear
02:12he is just absolutely fundamental to Everton with his ability to create chances, score,
02:18take set pieces and as always he is available, can play 90 minutes every single week and
02:24for Dey's he is the number 1 man in this team and without him Everton would be really struggling.
