00:00This is not an illegal bomb, but an illegal bomb that was planted by Baok in Camarinas, Tulfo.
00:06This was after it was discovered that there were Chinese nationals working there
00:11who did not have any documents, civil custodians in the center of the news.
00:15This is the operation of the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Unit.
00:25This video shows the operation of the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission,
00:30Bureau of Immigration, Paracale Municipal Police, and other local operatives
00:35in an illegal mine in Barangay Tugos, Paracale, Camarinas Norte
00:41around 8.30 a.m. yesterday.
00:44The authorities found 11 Chinese nationals in the said mine.
00:49Under the visa of a mission order,
00:51the illegal mineral processing plant was occupied by the operatives after two weeks of mining.
00:57Machines and equipment for the mineral processing plant were confiscated.
01:02According to Baok, the mining company did not have any documents
01:07while only a tourist visa was held by the last 11 Chinese nationals.
01:11This is a mineral reprocessing plant, but this is a guerrilla mining operation.
01:16The last 11 Chinese nationals did not have a permanent residence permit.
01:21What they have is a tourist visa.
01:23Their tourist visa does not allow them to work in economic activities.
01:28This is an immediate violation of our immigration laws and criminal laws.
01:33Also, apparently, their license, their environment compliance certificate,
01:40is only for one area.
01:42Now, they expanded to another area.
01:44They did open pit mining.
01:46Because they expanded, they should have an amendment
01:50for their environmental compliance certificate.
01:52They did not apply for an amendment in the DNR for the new area of mining.
01:58Baok's investigation continues
02:00to find out who is behind the illegal mining
02:03and how it is being pushed out of the country.
02:06But one thing the investigation is looking at
02:09is the involvement of a local government official in the illegal mining.
02:13The information is coming out that this is the property of a local government official.
02:19So we'll have to check if there is an answer
02:23from the local government official who said
02:27incumbent municipal councilor or former municipal councilor.
02:32So we're checking.
02:34The last Chinese nationals were sent to Manila for inquest proceedings.
02:40Please help the commission, the LGU, and whoever else.
02:44If you do such activities, please let us know
02:47so that other government agencies can take action.
02:51Vel Custodio for Pambansang TV in Bagong, Philippines.
