00:00The president is returning to the country from yet another fruitful coming together with his peers in the ASEAN and with other world leaders.

00:07The president cited checkboxes in a to-do list.

00:10First, an understanding and agreement among member nations for a commitment to sustainable agricultural practices toward long-term food security.

00:19Then, helping draw financing for homegrown MSMEs and aid in their integration into the global supply chain.

00:26The complete shift and transition to digital economies, the promotion of inclusive and sustainable tourism amongst members in the region.

00:33Then again, the president made himself crystal clear in at least two occasions on the urgent need to draft a code of conduct in the West Philippine Sea

00:42and his successful stab in drawing foreign investments to the country by way of a fiber cement manufacturer all ready to set up shop in the country shortly.

00:52Good evening. I have just come from the closing ceremony here in Vientiane, Lao People's Democratic Republic,

01:01where I attended the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits and related summits.

01:06The discussion amongst our partners and friends were not just about the challenges that we face individually,

01:13but equally importantly, also about our shared commitment to finding enduring solutions that will safeguard our collective future.

01:21The leaders of ASEAN agreed to work more closely together in promoting sustainable agriculture to achieve long-term food security.

01:29We are collaborating with our partners to support our MSMEs through addressing financing gaps and enhancing their capacities to integrate into global supply chains.

01:40To prepare our country and our region for the future, we are together galvanizing our efforts to support the digital transformation of our economies.

01:48We are shepherding efforts in ASEAN to promote inclusive and sustainable tourism across the region as well.

01:55This will complement the Philippines' initiatives in positioning itself as a prime destination for sustainable tourism.
