00:00Of course, the Philippines will not be the last to visit Makasaysayan and Magandagbasyalan.

00:06Intramuros will be one of the finalists for the 2024 World Travel Awards,

00:13which will be held in Long City.

00:16Let's take a look at the center of the news, Isaiah Mira Fuentes.

00:21Every time we go to Intramuros, it feels like we're going back in time.

00:26Because of the many old structures that were built during the Spanish colonization.

00:32Most of the structures here were built during the time of World War II.

00:38If you think about it, the path of the famous walled city of Intramuros is very deep.

00:44Among the visitors today is Katrina.

00:47They are from Davao, and one of their bucket lists in Manila is to go to Intramuros.

00:54It's really beautiful. You can really see the history of the Philippines.

01:01And the Indonesian, Yonatan.

01:04I come from Jakarta, Indonesia. So I'm visiting the Philippines here to explore Intramuros for today.

01:11It looks wonderful. Behind me is the Cultural Museum of the Philippines.

01:16It's very wonderful. The building is very artistic.

01:19So I'm just amazed with its look in Intramuros here.

01:23Because of its beauty, it was nominated again this year as the World's Leading Tourist Attraction of the 2024 World Travel Awards.

01:34We are very honored to be nominated once again for the World Travel Awards 2024.

01:42So this time for the World's Leading Tourist Attraction Award.

01:47Actually, also this year, Intramuros was very grateful to have been awarded the Asia's Leading Tourist Attraction.

01:57Intramuros will be a remnant of other famous landmarks in different countries around the world.

02:03Like the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, the Acropolis of Athens in Greece, Taj Mahal in India, and the Great Wall of China.

02:12As a part of the beautification of Intramuros, one of the things they did was to make the roads pedestrian-friendly.

02:21The old bumpy roads of Intramuros are now flat.

02:27Even the old spaghetti wires are now removed from Intramuros.

02:32So the Intramuros Administration continues its work for the orderly preservation and rehabilitation

02:38as well as the development of Intramuros as a monument to the Hispanic period of Philippine history.

02:44Botuhan will be the base of the World's Leading Tourist Attraction.

02:49The Intramuros Administration invited Filipinos to vote for the Botuhan on the website of the World Travel Awards.

02:58Intramuros is not just about the history and culture experience, but we also have here some commercial establishment.

03:13Public voting will be open until October 20.
