00:00The beauty of Socks Surgeon was once again brought to the 2024 Socks Summit.

00:05But aside from its beauty, the products and culture of the region were also not left behind.

00:17For Edwin Gonzales, a young entrepreneur from the town of Norala in South Cotabato,

00:23the 2024 Socks Tourism Summit in Coronadal City was a huge event.

00:31This is a huge help for me to have exposures and opportunities to know different people

00:40who will be part of my enterprise.

00:42And for now, because of this event, we had a lot of sales.

00:48It's a huge help for our business to be sustainable.

00:53The 2024 Socks Tourism Summit is an important step forward

00:58to make the products and rich culture of the region more visible

01:03and its great potential as a tourism and investment destination.

01:07It was led by the Department of Tourism Region 12,

01:10along with various government agencies and local governments in the region.

01:15In her message, the Governor of Cotabato Province

01:18and Regional Development Council Chairman Emilio Talino Mendoza

01:22supported the programs led by DOT.

01:26We recognize the significant contribution of tourism industry

01:30to our transportation, food, and accommodation industries,

01:35and also to the livelihood of our locals who belong to the non-formal economy.

01:40And as you can see, we have some displays.

01:45Not just to showcase our destination, but the produce of our region.

01:50The 2024 Socks Tourism Summit is also part of the Regional Development Council Week

01:55with the theme of Tourism and Peace, Bridging Cultures, Bridging Understanding.

02:00Meanwhile, the Regional Tourism Comprehensive Development Plan was also launched

02:05to further strengthen the tourism sector in the region.

02:09PIA Socks Arjen is still the main destination in the country

02:12because of its beautiful destination and rich culture for tourists.
