00:00The Venezuelan National Assembly approved on Tuesday a preparatory resolution urging
00:06the national government to break diplomatic and commercial relations with the Kingdom
00:10of Spain.
00:12The resolution was promoted after the Spanish Congress approved a motion to disregard the
00:17electoral victory of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro after the elections of July
00:2128.
00:22During the ordinary session, the President of the Venezuelan National Assembly, Jorge
00:26RodrĂguez, also emphasized that the objective of the National Assembly was to deepen the
00:31necessary transformation in the country's legal sphere.
00:41I would like to urge this body to approve in a resounding way, in an enthusiastic way,
00:46that we approve in indignation, but at the same time knowing the value we have inherited
00:59from the glory of our liberator, a resolution in which we peremptorily request the Bolivarian
01:04government to break diplomatic, consular and commercial relations with the Kingdom of Spain.
01:16Those deputies who are in favor of the resolution as presented by Vice President Pedro Infante,
01:21please show it the usual way.
