00:00 We go live now to Venezuela to listen to the statements of the president of the Venezuelan
00:07 National Assembly.
00:08 Let's listen.
00:09 It is quite timely that we are here in the House of Laws of the Bolivarian Republic of
00:17 Venezuela in the House that laws are made in the development of political ideas and
00:34 social ideas, the big social agreement of Venezuela, which is the constitution, and
00:48 is developed through this house, which is built and approved according to the law.
01:01 We think I am honored to be along with the government of Venezuela and sister and another
01:24 member of this delegation, as well as I am accompanied by the directive board to reject
01:42 that category because of its lies, because of interfering, the Secretary of State, Antony
02:06 Blinken and Mr. Guaido, what they pointed out is clearly they are ignoring the constitution
02:24 and laws of Venezuela.
02:27 At this point, they must know that the government of Venezuela doesn't accept the pressures
02:41 of any country or any organization whatsoever.
02:49 We don't accept, we will never accept any kind of interference in our own businesses.
03:04 So Venezuelans are the ones who made their own choices.
03:14 So ask Guaido how was it when he tried to do so, when he tried to change the constitutional
03:35 order that profits.
03:44 He is the only case in the US, he is the only case that is a professor at the university
03:59 in the United States.
04:02 And the real truth is that Venezuela is not going to accept any interference.
04:16 We are very respectful and we are going to comply with the agreement to everything that
04:31 we wrote there on the agreement.
04:35 We respected it and we sustained it.
04:42 So we urge for the opposition to defend that agreement in the same way.
04:55 So now we are going to reveal, to unfold, we are not going to unfold any private conversation
05:06 until unless we are forced to.
05:15 We will talk, we will reveal the conversations, the dialogue, if the opposition continues
05:30 to bend the truth and to discredit the government.
05:42 So we understand even a day early before the agreement was signed, the Washington Post
05:54 said there were leaks on the matrix.
06:11 We hope that with these statements we gave the issue was closed, but it seems like it
06:27 didn't happen like that.
06:29 So with all the power the US and the opposition have, you have to understand that we want
06:45 to be bribed and we won't accept any interference.
06:54 Mind your own businesses.
06:56 Worried, be concerned over complying with the partial agreement.
07:04 We are engaged, we are committed to comply with it.
07:14 I reaffirmed that if we are forced to, we will reveal the real truth.
07:25 The updating of all presidential candidates and political candidates are going to be accepted
07:38 with all presidential requirements by the constitution.
07:56 So we all have rights, so Venezuela has political, social, economic rights, and everyone has
08:11 rights.
08:12 And it is like that, for instance, all Venezuelans can be shrinks if they study that career.
08:39 Or if surgeons, the same way, they can be surgeons if they studied medicine.
08:52 So a killer cannot be a presidential candidate.
09:01 And any individual, any citizen who has committed a crime cannot be a candidate.
09:16 That's the case of Machado, who was prosecuted because of crime.
09:26 So as long as the citizen complies with the law, that person can be a candidate.
09:40 So Venezuelans need to respect the requirements by the constitution.
09:48 So whoever can be a presidential candidate, as long as the person complies with the requirements
10:01 established by the law, by the constitutional law, each letter of the partial agreement
10:15 are going to be duly studied, observed.
10:22 We accept the participation of observers, of international observers.
10:37 We are proud of president of Venezuela's elections.
10:52 We weren't the ones who violated the constitution.
10:57 We weren't the ones who requested sanctions for Venezuela.
11:06 But what is legal is that Venezuela didn't have to go through any coercive sanctions.
11:27 And so we are looking for the lifting of all those sanctions because the entire world celebrates
11:42 the step taken yesterday because Venezuela was expected and expects to be one of the
12:06 main providers of energy in the world because we aim at exporting oil for Europe, Asia,
12:19 and other continents.
12:24 We aim to help to gain balance in the energy nationwide.
12:35 Chavez recalled one Venezuelan poet that said...
12:55 And we were listening to the statements of the president of the Venezuelan National Assembly,
12:59 Jorge Rodriguez.
13:00 He stated that...
13:07 Venezuela is proud of the electoral system and how it works, and it also respects and
13:11 upholds what is written and that they hope that this document upholds it as well.
13:16 The United States must understand that Venezuela will not be blood-mailed nor will it allow
13:20 anyone to interfere in the country and must commit to what has been agreed.
13:26 He also stated that Venezuela will keep being an oil provider to the world.
13:30 More breaking news coming up.
13:32 Stay tuned.
