Billy Bootleggers has transformed into a haunted video shop for the month of October. All in aid of local foodbanks. We went along to find out more.

00:00The whole aesthetic thing is because Billy loves a laugh, really.
00:05And the donations things, this isn't the first one we've done of these.
00:10We have done it at Christmas as well, where people have bought gifts and we've doubled the bar tab.
00:15It's just nice when we can afford to have all these things, to be able to pass that on.
00:24And those sweets would also end up on the 30th of October going to food banks for kids who might not have sweets on Halloween.
00:39I asked Luke what Billy Bootlegger's Treats from the Black Lagoon scheme is,
00:43and what customers can expect from the venue throughout October and leading into Halloween.
00:48For the month of October, we are doing a donation of sweets,
00:54where customers are invited to buy a packet of sweets or a few packets of sweets and keep the receipt.
01:02And if they come into the bar with those sweets and that receipt,
01:06those sweets will end up going to food banks on the 30th of October.
01:11With such a good scheme giving to the food banks, and with the aesthetic clearly lending itself to the parents,
01:17I wondered if there were anything else that the venue was doing for the children.
01:21We have, on Halloween itself, a day for the kids, Billy's Little Zombillies,
01:27where we're going to do face painting and treats and all that sort of thing.
01:31We've always been a good place for grown-ups to have a good time,
01:36and these ideas that we've had for this month are also good for kids as well.
01:46Especially when we have live music on, early doors on Saturdays and Sundays,
01:52that's something the kids can also enjoy, and it's only going to get spookier towards the end of October.
