00:00Hello there and a very good morning to you on this Wednesday morning where we
00:04do have a mix of rain or showers and some cold winds streaming in from the
00:09north. Low pressure still in charge, hence the reason why we see showers develop
00:13across more southern areas and notice these blues just moving down the country
00:18Wednesday into Thursday, the chance of some night frosts and then through
00:22Thursday into Friday this area of cloud and rain will bring more showery bursts
00:27towards more northern and northwestern areas. More about that in a moment but
00:31let's now pick up on some detail through this morning. Well it's a cold start to
00:35the day with this nagging wind gales towards the far north. Outbreaks of rain
00:38also across central, eastern and southern parts of Scotland. Clearer skies across
00:42the west of Scotland. Similar situation for Northern Ireland, you can see where the
00:46showery rain is and a legacy of showers continues through the far east part of
00:50today across England and Wales. Most of them though have cleared towards the
00:54North Sea. So through today a few things happen. This wind picks up some
00:59strength delivering those showers. This area of rain here slowly clears from the
01:05northeast. Showers then develop across England and Wales. Some sunshine in
01:09between and these showers won't be as intense or as frequent as we saw on
01:15Tuesday. Even so one or two heavier downpours can't be ruled out. For Northern
01:18Ireland still a lot of clouds, some showers across the far north there and
01:22showers will be frequent across coastal districts of Scotland. Inland you may see
01:27a bit of brighter weather. Similar situation across more southern and
01:30southeastern areas. This rain then becomes confined to the northeast of
01:35England through the afternoon into evening time as temperatures arrive
01:38around 17 degrees Celsius across the south, 10 degrees Celsius across the
01:44north and the very windy conditions across the far south this morning will
01:48ease by the afternoon. So that's the picture through today. What happens
01:53through this evening? Well a couple of things. This area of cloud and rain
01:56continues its passage southwards clipping eastern counties. Clearer skies
02:00across inland parts of Scotland. We could even see a touch of frost. Strong winds
02:04across the north as well as the northwest with those showers leading
02:07into a better day all round on Thursday. Yes it would be a cold start at least
02:13though you'll see some sunshine those coastal showers bring in with their
02:16stronger winds particularly along the coastline towards the east as well as
02:19the west. Here's your outlook through Friday into Saturday. This feature here
02:22brings clouds and also some showery rain but notice the winds ease through into
02:27the weekend which is good news but it will be a frosty start. So your outlook
02:30through Friday. Many areas after a chilly morning you'll see some sunshine
02:35but increasing clouds across western Scotland, showers filtering towards
02:40Northern Ireland as well as eastern parts of Scotland and then further south
02:44on Saturday as well a mix of clouds and sun. Some brighter skies are further
02:48south. If you are take care and I'll see you again soon.
