00:00The unemployment rate, or the number of Filipinos who have no job in the country, is still decreasing.

00:05Based on the Labor Force Survey of the Philippine Statistics Authority,

00:09the unemployment rate in the country in August 2024 was recorded at 4%,

00:15which is lower than the 4.4% recorded in August of last year.

00:21The unemployment rate, or the number of Filipinos who have a job in the country in August 2024 was recorded at 96%,

00:28which is higher than the 95.6% recorded in August of last year.

00:36According to the National Economic and Development Authority Secretary, Arsenio Balisaca,

00:42more opportunities are expected for Filipinos this holiday season due to the active labor market.
