00:00The unemployment rate in the country decreased in December 2024, at 3.1%, or equivalent to 1.63 million.
00:11This is the lowest unemployment rate recorded by the Philippine Statistics Authority since April 2005.
00:19According to the PSA, this is lower than 3.2% or 1.66 million who lost their jobs in November 2024.
00:2950.19 million lost their jobs which is lower than 50.52 million in December 2023.
00:39But this is higher than 49.54 million in November 2024.
00:45Meanwhile, the under-employment rate in the country decreased to 10.9%.
00:51According to the official of the Labor Department, the continuous approach of our countrymen to the Public Employment Service Office, or PESO, helped in decreasing the unemployment rate in December 2024,
