The Premier and Opposition leader will tonight test each other’s knowledge when they face off in the first debate of the campaign. Steven Miles will be hoping his memory does not fail him, as it did this morning when asked the name of his local candidates. Both leaders were in central Queensland where David Crisafulli promised 50 million dollars for mental health.

01:08But he drew a blank when asked to name his Labor candidate, Susan Tedder.
01:13I don't have that detail in front of me.
01:15You don't know the name of the candidate that's running for your team in the seat that you're

01:42Mick Debrenny was down in Brisbane attending federal court to give evidence about the 2021
01:48explosion at the Callide power station in central Queensland.
01:53He maintains he was not aware of any maintenance issues nor any funding restraints.
01:59Those are matters that are subject to the examination, the questions I responded to
02:03in the courtroom.
02:04But I've been consistent in my response.
02:06The issue a thorn in the side for Labor after an independent review found the state's power
02:12company CS Energy failed to implement effective safety practices in the lead up to the catastrophic
