An unemployed man was charged in the Petaling Jaya Magistrate Court on Wednesday with the murder of an interior designer who was stabbed 20 times in a condominium unit at Bandar Sri Damansara on September 14.

Lim Wah Siong is accused of murdering Muhammad Sharqawi Abu Bakar and is charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code, which carries the death penalty upon conviction.

00:50The victim was found dead with 20 stab wounds, including on his hands and head.
00:55Police investigations revealed that the incident occurred when the victim caught the suspect
01:00breaking into his home to steal, which led to a struggle that resulted in the murder.
01:05The police arrested the suspect in Kuala Lumpur at 3am on September 21st on suspicion of involvement
01:11in the incident.
