00:00Leslie you're still going to school, how can you do all this work and still fit in school?
00:15Well we work with permits and all this is sort of fitting in the holidays and the weekends.
00:19You're on holidays now?
00:21Yeah, mostly.
00:23You've been touring with Dick Emery?
00:25Yes.
00:26Do you do live appearances to things like that?
00:29Do you do live appearances?
00:31Well we do a lot of television appearances, but this is only our second tour.
00:36We did the Osmonds tour first, then we did Dick Emery, but we're not really into that.
00:41We want to start our own tour.
00:43How long have you been together?
00:45Professionally about three years.
00:47When did you first start working on your harmonies and your singing together?
00:51Well we've always done it ever since we were kids.
00:54Were you married to your father?
00:56Yes, definitely our parents, but I think it's always been there in the family sort of thing.
01:02How much hand do you think your father's had in your career?
01:05Well he's been a really encouraging surfer, he's been really good.
01:10He's highly critical, after we do a show he tells us what we did wrong, which is really good because you need someone there to tell you what you've done wrong.
01:18Have you ever argued amongst yourselves about your work?
01:21About our work?
01:23We have differences occasionally, because we're normal, but we're pretty close really.
01:30Who works with you on your actual harmonies and arrangements?
01:35Well my kids do the harmonies.
01:38You do all that?
01:39I do the harmonies, yes.
01:40And when we're going to have a song recorded, we put down a rough tape and we send it to the arranger and he gets it off there, does the arrangements from the tape.
01:50You've got a sound that reminds me of a lot of girl singers in the 50s, is that accidental?
01:55I don't think that's true, we don't like getting pinned up with anyone because we're sort of into original stuff.
02:02Who rehearses your steps for you?
02:04We do it ourselves.
02:05Your clothes, where do you get them?
02:07We get them hand designed, especially for us.
02:10Who does it?
02:11Richard Tyler, he's a Melbourne guy.
02:14When you're writing, how do you usually go about it? Do you write, Lesley?
02:19No, I don't write.
02:20Do you two write together?
02:22Yes. It's really hard to explain. I get a feeling that I can write a song and I'll go through to my room and play around with a few chords and look at some lyrics.
