00:00Hi I'm Karen Foster and I have been a councillor in this last term and I'm seeking your support
00:06to be re-elected again for this coming term. Why? Great question. I guess I've really loved
00:13this experience. It's been incredible. I've learned so much about the region, about Moinshire
00:20and especially about myself. So I've really loved it and I think I've got the experience now and
00:26I've certainly got the energy to take it on again for another four years and I think I'd probably
00:32do things a little bit differently next time around but bringing all my experience that I've
00:37had in the last four years to bear and yeah just love to have the chance to represent Moinshire
00:42again. So I think I've got lots of skills. I used to be a journalist so in fact the very first
00:50council meeting I went to I was 18 as a cadet journalist and I've been fascinated by local
00:55government ever since and I feel really really honoured to have had this opportunity to be a
01:01councillor. So if I'm re-elected my priorities? That's a really big question. So I was never a
01:08single issue councillor. I never stood for one single reason. If I can make affect some positive
01:14change that's a really great thing and I guess the big elephant in the room also is we don't have a
01:20lot of diversity on our council. I've been the only woman this term and before me it was 12 years
01:25of one woman so I think I've got a bit of an obligation to stand and to represent 51% of our population.
