00:00In a heartfelt stand for workers' rights, the Social Security System, or SSS, is taking action against employers who fail to uphold their responsibilities.
00:10This effort is more than just compliance. It's about protecting the hopes and dreams of those who labor day in and day out, as our Floyd Brens wraps it up.
00:23The Social Security System, or SSS, continues its effort to pursue employers who evade contributions for their employees.
00:32Today, a campaign called RACE was conducted at the SSS branch in Bicutan, San Valle, Paranaque City, where five employers received notices of violation.
00:42Among these, one was located in Paranaque and four in Taguig.
00:46This marks the 108th RACE event for the SSS in the Southern NCR, surpassing their annual quota by 2%.
00:53Employers are granted a 15-day RACE period to coordinate with the SSS to settle their contribution delinquencies.
01:00Hopefully, as we go on with this operation, all employers will be regularly paying in time.
01:15Agriculture Secretary Francisco T.U. Laurel, Jr. praised the Anti-Agricultural Economic Sabotage Act signed by President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. on September 26, 2024.
01:26The law imposes severe penalties for smuggling and hoarding agricultural products valued over P10 million, with fines up to five times the product value and possible life imprisonment.
01:37It covers various items like rice, corn, and fish and offers rewards up to P20 million for information leading to convictions.
01:46A daily price index will also be established to help protect our farmers.
01:50Finance Secretary Ralph Recto announced the enforcement of the Anti-Agricultural Economic Sabotage Act signed on September 26, 2024.
