00:00Well, she may not know Adam's secret, but she has a secret of her own.
00:03Here's a look at the brand-new Mondo Massey Universe Tila 1-6 scale figure, Mondo exclusive.
00:31If your Massey Universe are going to have any chance against the expanding evil horde,
00:35they're going to need a little help from the Captain of the Royal Palace Guard.
00:38So without further ado, the next figure in the Massey Universe 1-6 scale line is none other than the warrior goddess Tila.
00:43The Tila 1-6 scale figure timed edition comes complete with faux fur elements plus an array of weaponry and portraits,
00:49including one inspired by Mattel's 2000X line.
00:52And of course, they had to include an epic serpent headdress worthy of the mystic guardian of Greyskull.
00:58While Tila may do a good job guarding palaces, she does a poor job of spotting terrible disguises.
01:02Just before, of course, we get a closer look at the new Mondo Massey Universe Tila,
01:05first I'd like to thank the folks over at Mondo that provided the sample we could have a look at.
01:09Sad to say, though, Tila sold out fast over on their site.
01:13At least they do have the option of the notify me when restocked.
01:16If you select that, they can contact you when they restock the member of the Royal Guard.
01:20Tila is, though, going to stand, if you technically count the little bun that she has on top of her head,
01:24about 11 and a quarter inches in height.
01:26Or the figure's going to stand about 28 and a half centimeters tall.
01:30Yeah, terrible, terrible. He-Man's nothing really more than Prince Adam with a tan.
01:34From a size standpoint, if you're comparing the way they look in the cartoon,
01:37Tila is normally just a little bit shorter than He-Man.
01:40And I think Mondo's captured the size appropriately here.
01:43If you were to, say, compare her with another female figure,
01:45here's what she looks like with He-Man's twin sister, She-Ra,
01:48she's also a little bit shorter than her as well.
01:50How about we start things first with Tila's display stand?
01:53First, I just want to say, like, I'm glad that Mondo's gone this direction when it comes to the display stands,
01:57going the much larger footprint oval-shaped stand
02:00rather than what they were doing before with the M-shaped stands.
02:03The stands were fine and good for taking up less real estate space,
02:06but if you really wanted to occupy the most quarters with them,
02:09the feet were, especially if you wanted to have them a wider stance,
02:11the oval-shaped stand makes better sense.
02:13The top of the train, as you can see, it looks very somewhat similar to maybe the inside of the palace
02:18or even Castle Greyskull, although instead of green, it's here in black.
02:21Of course, you've got yourself the adjustable neck that's going to plug in place.
02:24This was a separate piece. All it is, just a case, is it plugs into the slot right here.
02:29And then you're going to get this bracket,
02:31so it's basically this waist clip bracket that's going to fit inside here.
02:34I've had problems in the past, luckily I didn't have any problems here with Tila,
02:38when sometimes you're putting them in like this, it tends to split the plastic
02:41because essentially this is a front and back piece that are molded together or glued together.
02:46Sometimes even just the force of this can result in these splitting in half.
02:50Luckily, it didn't end up being the case here.
02:52Now, also when you're putting this around Tila's waist,
02:54the one thing you really want to be careful of,
02:56even though they really have added rubberized feet on the ends of it,
02:59because there is a lot of white paint happening here,
03:01luckily, knock on wood, it hasn't happened yet.
03:03There's certainly a potential, though, that could scrape some of the paint.
03:06So, of course, when you are putting it around her waist,
03:08first of all, you want to make sure it's high enough.
03:10Just bring it up just a little bit, clamp it around her waist,
03:13but you want to really make sure that when you are putting it around her waist,
03:16you're separating the prongs first before you fit it around.
03:19Never really want to force it or have the friction rub against it,
03:22because, of course, there's always the potential that the paint may flake off.
03:25Let's walk through the accessories that come included with the timed edition of Tila.
03:29Now, because this is the timed edition,
03:30Tila is going to come included with three alternate head portraits,
03:32as well as the serpent headdress.
03:34I'm glad, first of all, that they included the headdress.
03:36If you are familiar with the original vintage toy,
03:38then you would recognize this being the way that Tila looks when she comes out of the packaging.
03:41This has been done with using a very soft plastic,
03:44and I'm glad that they used soft plastic.
03:46The nature of this has to be that it has to fit over top of her head.
03:48You're not opening this up in any way,
03:50nor are you removing a faceplate from her face.
03:53You're literally just taking the head,
03:54and you're fitting inside the open mouth of the serpent.
03:57The serpent's been painted well.
03:58As you can see, the eye's nicely done here in a green.
04:01There's a little bit of reflection added in there, as well.
04:03They've panel-lined some additional yellow also in there, as well,
04:06and even finished the back of it,
04:07so it looks just as good as it does from the front.
04:09Now, if you're going to take one of Tila's heads,
04:11you may not necessarily want to use the one from the 2000X series,
04:14just because, again, she's got the bangs on either side.
04:16But if you want to use, like, more of the classic head sculpt,
04:18and she comes with two versions of this,
04:20kind of a neutral expression,
04:21and then she also has one that has more of a...
04:23I don't want to say sinister,
04:25but you definitely see there's a lot more going on behind the scenes
04:27when it comes to what she's thinking about.
04:29She's just looking to get a hold of one of Skeletor's cronies.
04:33But if you want to take, like, this head, for example,
04:35you're going to take the headdress
04:37and kind of take the head,
04:38and you want to point the chin up on an angle,
04:40just because if you don't,
04:41you're going to be running this against,
04:43and all of this is all friction.
04:44Of course, the way they've meticulously painted the heads,
04:47the last thing you really want to do is cause damage there.
04:49So you just want to kind of take the chin
04:51and tip it up like this,
04:53and then just tuck it inside the headdress.
04:55If everything lines up the way that you want it to,
04:58then this is what Teela's head would then look like.
05:00Now, of course, you couldn't do all this, really,
05:02with having the head already attached to the body,
05:04especially with the amount of fighting I had to do
05:06to change out the head,
05:07and you'll see what I mean in a second.
05:09It's probably the best idea, first,
05:10to put the head on that you want to use
05:12before putting the headdress on.
05:13The headdress, honestly, is the easiest thing you want to do
05:15to swapping out the head,
05:16because obviously doing it the way that we're doing it right now,
05:18you're going to have a bigger struggle.
05:20So she comes in clue with that,
05:22and again, like, if you wanted to,
05:24you could change this head sculpt
05:25with the one that we start things with first.
05:27I'm going to go back to this
05:28as when we look at the head sculpt
05:29for the one that she has right now.
05:30The figure, speaking of vintage things,
05:32comes in clue with her vintage shield.
05:34The shield has been cast in a brown plastic,
05:36although the inside of it, as you can see,
05:38they've gone in and painted
05:39a nice additional yellowish gold.
05:41The handle is there, of course,
05:42for her to hold this.
05:43It's a fairly small shield,
05:45but to be fair, really,
05:46the old vintage toy also had
05:47a generally small shield.
05:48She really wasn't blocking much of anything.
05:50I do like the gold accents
05:51that they've added in there as well.
05:52You can see very meticulously
05:54they've added a scroll work
05:55embedded into the plastic.
05:57That's a fine-looking shield.
05:58A fine, fine-looking shield.
06:00The figure also comes in clue with a spear.
06:03Now, the spear has very much similar colors.
06:06If we, like, look at the shield
06:07and then we look at the spear,
06:08very much the same kind of gold,
06:09very similar types of brown,
06:11although I would say maybe, like,
06:12the handle of the spear
06:13is probably maybe a little bit more
06:15of a darker brown,
06:16but it's very close to the handle
06:17that she has for the spear.
06:18This can fit into her hands.
06:19I will say, though, this as a cautionary tale.
06:22Be careful when you are
06:23putting things into her hands.
06:24This has already happened for me,
06:26and I will tell you this.
06:27When I was first putting this into her hands,
06:29I just made the assumption,
06:30and this is the big mistake on my part,
06:32that the fingers and the thumb
06:33were attached together.
06:34So when I was putting, like, the serpent,
06:36the serpent staff in her hand, for example,
06:38which, as you can see,
06:39is a very nice work done to the serpent head.
06:42Unfortunately, though,
06:43I end up scraping the paint,
06:44and the paint is only scraped down below here,
06:46and if anything, you could write it off,
06:47that it looks just like
06:48it's a little bit more war-torn.
06:50Don't slide it into her hands,
06:52whatever you do.
06:54Instead, go the route
06:55of what I'm doing right now.
06:56If you look at, actually, the hands,
06:58for a second, you may think to yourself,
07:00well, wait, there's no way.
07:01You can see, like, the middle finger,
07:02for example, is attached to the thumb,
07:04but it's not.
07:05You can actually take the thumb,
07:08you can actually take the four fingers,
07:09I should say,
07:10and you can pry them away from the palm.
07:11Now, if you're also having a struggle to do this,
07:13you can also pre-prep this
07:15by heating the hands in hot water.
07:17Pry the hands, though, away from the palm,
07:18and I would say, even then,
07:20I don't feel like
07:21it gives you nearly enough clearance.
07:22The hard thing about this, though,
07:23is when you are prying the hands like this,
07:25you want to really make sure
07:26that the hands are closed
07:27with a small enough grip
07:28that it's going to hold the staff
07:29once it's in their hands.
07:31The problem also goes with that, though,
07:32is that you also want to,
07:33if you're having it too tight like this,
07:35then she's going to have a problem
07:36where, like I already had this problem,
07:38it's going to start to scrape the paint off.
07:40So, like I said,
07:41just pry the fingers, please,
07:42whatever you do.
07:43Pry the fingers, though,
07:44away from the palm
07:45before you decide to put
07:46either the spear
07:47or the scepter in her hand.
07:49Please.
07:50Let's go ahead and just remove this right now.
07:52Put it off to the side.
07:54Okay, so Tila also does come included
07:56with a sword,
07:57and the sword does also come included
07:59with a sheath.
08:01Now, the thing about it, though,
08:02is that the sheath
08:03is attached already to a belt.
08:05I looked initially at this,
08:06and I was thinking,
08:07okay, there must be a way.
08:08Surely there is a way
08:09that you can detach the belt
08:10and open this up,
08:11because if you're looking at the waist,
08:13and you're trying to figure out for yourself,
08:15how am I going to get this
08:16on the figure's body?
08:17It is just really a lot of sliding.
08:19It's just a whole lot of preying.
08:21If you actually look, though,
08:22at the sheath,
08:23we can actually see
08:24you've got a little eagle motif down below.
08:26That looks fantastic.
08:28Love the use of the darker gold
08:30that they've got here.
08:31And, of course,
08:32if you want to draw the blade out,
08:34you can see
08:35the blade has been painted well in silver.
08:37You've got a little bit
08:38of a red accent there by the guard.
08:40And even the hilt itself
08:41has very much somewhat
08:42of a similar design
08:43to the Sword of Power.
08:46Of course, this can fit
08:47into our hands as well,
08:48but the same cautionary tale.
08:49Just want to make sure
08:50you pry the finger.
08:51Okay, all right.
08:52I recovered off all that.
08:53I just want to, again,
08:54show you guys,
08:55that's a really nice-looking hilt.
08:57Here's where the biggest problem comes
08:59when it comes to facing this figure.
09:00You've got basically
09:01two things to contend with,
09:02removing and changing the heads,
09:03and also doing this.
09:05What you're going to want to do,
09:06and I was trying to think,
09:07there must be another way
09:08I can get this onto the figure's body,
09:10but there isn't.
09:11There really needed to be
09:12a detachment point right here
09:13where maybe one part of the plastic
09:14was overlapping another
09:15and maybe just tabbed in place.
09:17I don't know.
09:18Either way, though,
09:19what you end up having to do, though,
09:20is you literally just,
09:21you have to do what you think
09:22you have to do.
09:23You have to put the feet,
09:24legs together like this
09:25and then sort of shimmy them up.
09:27The crucial thing
09:28is obviously also making sure
09:29that you've got it
09:30facing the right way.
09:31You don't want to go up
09:32the journey of doing this
09:33and then realize
09:34halfway up or even all the way up
09:35that you put it on the wrong way.
09:37The only thing about this, though,
09:39is that she has this fur
09:40at the tops of her boots
09:41and she also has these knee guards.
09:43You really do want to make sure
09:44that when you're doing this...
09:46Now, luckily, though,
09:47the strap is a soft enough plastic
09:49that there is give to it,
09:50but there isn't a lot of it.
09:52So, again, you're just having to...
09:54I don't...
09:55I think once I decide
09:56on what I'm going to be doing with Tila,
09:58I think I'm just going to leave it
09:59the way it is,
10:00but all you're literally doing
10:01is...
10:02Here's where I have this issue.
10:04It's right around here
10:05because I'm thinking to myself,
10:06that's going to start to rub the paint
10:07or it's going to rub the paint
10:09off of this,
10:10and it's going to be even worse.
10:11You're going to have, like,
10:12a brown stain on the side of her leg.
10:14So you just, again,
10:15have to shimmy this up her leg.
10:17You're not going to be doing at all
10:19what you're doing right now.
10:21Again, we're just going to be
10:22slaying this up.
10:25And while I'm doing this,
10:27you may be thinking to yourself,
10:29come on, man.
10:30There's got to be an easier way to do this.
10:32I would have loved to have been able to say,
10:34you know what, you're absolutely right,
10:35but there doesn't seem to be.
10:37It's just a case of just hoping,
10:40just fingers crossed the whole time,
10:42and just shimmying this up.
10:44Now, I've done this three times.
10:47Three times now.
10:48What you could also really do, too,
10:50and I haven't yet done this,
10:52is maybe even heat the belt up
10:53just a little bit
10:54because I think if you heat up the plastic,
10:56you might even find it's an easier...
10:58you might find you're having an easier time
11:00getting that up onto her.
11:01And then, of course,
11:02you're going to have to get this
11:03around her backside as well.
11:06Just, come on.
11:08I really wish, again,
11:09that this was just an easier thing to do
11:11and didn't rely so much, so much,
11:13on pulling this over top of her body
11:15because essentially,
11:16that's what you're going to have to do.
11:18And once you get it,
11:19that's what it looks like.
11:21It's a shame, really,
11:22that it's so loose up here
11:23and so tight down here
11:24because in order to get it from here,
11:26you're going to have to get it
11:27from the bottom of her feet
11:28all the way up.
11:29But eventually,
11:30it does sheath on the side of her body.
11:32I wouldn't even be able to say either, too.
11:34I said earlier,
11:35if you heat the belt,
11:36maybe you could soften up the plastic
11:37just to stretch it a little bit more.
11:39But here, then,
11:40is the problem that you're going to be facing.
11:41Once that plastic is so soft,
11:43you might even just find it
11:45kind of sliding down the side of her body.
11:47So, again,
11:48putting that on her body,
11:49it's not the easiest thing.
11:50I really wish that Mono found
11:51an easier method of doing things.
11:54OK, so once that's in place,
11:56the other things, of course,
11:57we can have a look at
11:58when it comes to Tila.
11:59Now, Tila does have,
12:00I've noticed, at least on mine,
12:01she has a little bit of looseness
12:02here on the knees
12:03and also the ankle articulation.
12:05We'll talk more about that
12:06also in a moment.
12:07The figure also does come
12:08with some swappable hands.
12:09So outside the norm
12:10of the gripping hands
12:11that she has right now,
12:12Tila does also come
12:13included with closed fists.
12:14And she also comes included
12:15with gestured hands.
12:17None of the following things
12:18I just finished talking about
12:19would be aiding you at all
12:20when it comes to
12:21holding her accessories.
12:22I suppose, if anything,
12:23maybe you could put the shield,
12:24yeah, you could probably
12:25take the hand for the shield.
12:26You could do it that way.
12:27Gripping hands probably
12:28would be the better
12:29suitable hands for that.
12:30The last thing that we're going
12:32to have a look at for Tila
12:33is kind of where I feel
12:34a little bit of a divisive opinion,
12:36a divisive opinion.
12:37I'm not really sure
12:38what head sculpt
12:39I do really want to use.
12:40We've already looked at the fact
12:41that, first of all,
12:42getting Tila out of the packaging,
12:44she does have more
12:45of a classic looking head.
12:46I mean, if you are a fan
12:47of the way that she looked
12:48in the original toy line
12:49or even a big fan
12:50of the way she looked
12:51in the original Filmation cartoon,
12:52then this is the head sculpt
12:53that you're going to
12:54really want to go with.
12:55She has her hair up here
12:56in a bun.
12:57It's really nicely sculpted
12:58also here in the back as well.
12:59She, of course,
13:00does have her tiara
13:01done nicely here in gold.
13:02The gold matches well
13:03to the top of her bodice.
13:04Of course,
13:05all the additional armory
13:06that she has down below
13:07here in her body.
13:08It's just a very
13:09decoratively detailed figure.
13:10The face, as you can see,
13:12does have a little bit
13:13of eye shadow there
13:14around there as well.
13:15She's got what looks
13:16to be also maybe some mascara.
13:18It's a really
13:19beautiful looking face.
13:20I think, if anything, again,
13:21of the two head sculpts,
13:22we'll bring this one
13:23back in right now.
13:24Unless you really like
13:25to have Tila in the middle
13:26of a battle,
13:27perhaps maybe even,
13:28in fact, use this head sculpt.
13:29But I actually kind of like
13:30either this one
13:31or the 2000X series.
13:32And I think, if anything,
13:33I probably will end up
13:34using this head sculpt,
13:35I feel, instead,
13:36for the serpent headdress.
13:38Okay, so here's where
13:39my problem is kind of facing.
13:41Generally, though,
13:42I would have really wanted
13:43to put these figures
13:44on the shelf the way
13:45they look like
13:46their classic figures.
13:47And yet, though,
13:48I love this head sculpt.
13:49This is pulled, of course,
13:50from the 2000X
13:51Master Universe cartoon.
13:52Where Tila has not only
13:53a higher ponytail,
13:54but she also has bangs
13:55on the front of her face.
13:57It's too good of a head sculpt,
13:59I feel, I really want to
14:00put it back in the packaging.
14:02So I feel, while normally
14:03I would have gone this route,
14:05now seeing the options
14:06available in front of me,
14:07I think I might go
14:08this route instead.
14:09Here comes, again,
14:10one of the second problems
14:11I'm going to have
14:12with this figure.
14:13And it has to do with
14:14really removing the heads
14:15and replacing the heads.
14:16The ball joints
14:17are really tight.
14:18Now, to take the head off,
14:19I kind of just want to
14:20hold on to everything
14:21as well as you can.
14:22And you want to just
14:23pop it off the ball joint.
14:24Now, unlike the other two things
14:25I already talked about
14:26where I said,
14:27man, I really should have
14:28heated this up,
14:29I did end up heating this up.
14:30And I still find
14:31putting the heads on
14:32is such a hard thing to do.
14:33So, to get the new head in place,
14:35again, you just want to
14:36want to wiggle it
14:37back and forth.
14:38The thing I really
14:39don't want to do
14:40is put too much pressure
14:41onto the tiara.
14:42And, you know, again,
14:43she also has the bangs
14:44on the top of her head.
14:45But you just, again,
14:46you want to wiggle
14:47this back and forth.
14:48I did already heat this up.
14:49But I feel like, again,
14:50I probably could have
14:51heated this up
14:52just a little bit more.
14:53So, taking a little bit
14:54of my own advice,
14:55I paused for a second
14:56and just ran upstairs
14:57and reheated the head.
14:58Just so I wanted
14:59to make sure that
15:00when I was putting it
15:01back onto the ball joint,
15:02the last thing I really
15:03wanted to do was
15:04put a lot of pressure
15:05on the top tiara
15:06or the back of the ponytail,
15:07for example.
15:08But once it's in place,
15:09you can get yourself
15:10now the 2000X.
15:11Now, if you're just
15:12joining us right now,
15:13I don't even know
15:14how that's even possible.
15:15What we started things first
15:16when it came to tiara
15:17was getting her
15:18out of the packaging.
15:19You can do that as well
15:20if you want to stick
15:21with this head sculpt
15:22when it comes to
15:23displaying her on the shelf.
15:24Or, if you want to,
15:25you can also have her
15:26as well showcased
15:27with the angry expression,
15:28which I think I will reserve,
15:29if anything,
15:30if I want to display her
15:31with the serpent headdress.
15:32Here's where I feel.
15:33Like, generally,
15:34when I've wanted to
15:35display these figures,
15:36the idea in mind is
15:37what I wanted to put them
15:38on the shelf,
15:39either looking like
15:40the original vintage toy
15:41or the way they looked
15:42in the Filmation cartoon.
15:43Tila might very well
15:44be the exception to that
15:45because she looks too good
15:46of a head sculpt
15:47with the 2000X design
15:48on her body
15:49for the rest
15:50of this remaining review
15:51and the way I'm going
15:52to be displaying her
15:53on the shelf.
15:54Now, the difference
15:55with this Tila is that
15:56she does have the bangs
15:57here on the front.
15:58She has a different
15:59style of tiara.
16:00So, just again,
16:01bringing back
16:02in the original tiara,
16:03very much a different sculpt.
16:04And this one also does
16:05have a long ponytail
16:06on the back.
16:07Now, I don't want to
16:08say this to you
16:09and you guys say,
16:10well, this guy told me
16:11I could,
16:12but it does seem like
16:13the ponytail does
16:14rotate back and forth.
16:15Look at this only
16:16as just a recommendation.
16:17You might also want
16:18to be shredding
16:19whatever's attaching
16:20the two together
16:21where it would end up
16:22just tearing the ponytail
16:23right off.
16:24So, you know,
16:25even though it does seem
16:26like it does want to
16:27move back and forth,
16:28just take that
16:29with a grain of salt.
16:30The design of Tila
16:31does look fantastic, though.
16:32Even if you decide
16:33you want to go
16:34with this head sculpt,
16:35I mean, the body
16:36works either way.
16:37Now, they've also added
16:38the fur all around her collar.
16:39They've also added fur
16:40down below here
16:41on her boots.
16:42You will find this
16:43happening a lot
16:44when you're changing
16:45out the heads,
16:46you'll find fibers
16:47and hairs falling off.
16:48There was really
16:49no way really around it.
16:50I mean, even just
16:51moving the head alone,
16:52you might find
16:53just the occasional
16:54fibers falling off.
16:55I mean, even I got one
16:56right there, for example.
16:57I think it adds
16:58a little bit something
16:59to that.
17:00I mean, up to this point,
17:01the only other fur
17:02that we've had
17:03was also on the male figures
17:04with their loincloths.
17:05So it's really
17:06not that different,
17:07the idea that Tila
17:08would have had it as well.
17:09Love the gold
17:10that they've got here
17:11for the front of her bodice.
17:12Very, again,
17:13intricately sculpted.
17:14This is a separate piece,
17:15but once you kind of
17:16have put on the belt
17:17a couple of times,
17:18it ends up kind of
17:19just lifting this
17:20from the front of her body.
17:21Really nice gold
17:22and also additional bronze
17:23that they've added here
17:24for the gauntlets.
17:25She's also got some
17:26really nice attentions
17:27to detail that you don't
17:28end up seeing
17:29until you start
17:30flipping the figure around,
17:31like all the little
17:32stitch lines that she has
17:33on the back of her bodice.
17:34Really, really
17:35nice sculpted figure.
17:36Again, the only thing
17:37I would really say
17:38from a standpoint
17:39of getting this figure
17:40on the shelf
17:41is if you decide
17:42you want to put on,
17:43for example, the belt,
17:44reheat these heads,
17:45even just take a few
17:46passes with a hairdryer.
17:47Changing out the heads
17:48is going to be an issue
17:49for you.
17:50For the figure's articulation,
17:51going back to the head,
17:52of course,
17:53the head's going to be
17:54on a ball joint,
17:55so for all intents and purposes,
17:56if you had the classic head,
17:57it would be able to
17:58rotate all the way around.
17:59Because now you're
18:00dealing with a ponytail,
18:01it is going to get
18:02in the way of things,
18:03but you can still
18:04freely move the head
18:05back and forth,
18:06up, down,
18:07and you can also
18:08rock it back this way as well.
18:09The arms of Teela
18:10are a little on the tighter side,
18:11at least for mine.
18:12I've moved this
18:13to give me troubles.
18:14What I would normally say
18:15come at a 45 degree angle,
18:16and it also does rotate
18:17all the way around.
18:18The figure doesn't have
18:19any swivel in the bicep,
18:20but what she does have,
18:21at least,
18:22is a swivel in the elbow,
18:23which also serves
18:24as a hinge as well.
18:25Loose hands may be
18:26part of the territory
18:27you get when it comes to Teela.
18:28She is a little loose
18:29in the wrists,
18:30at least on mine.
18:31She's loose on the knees,
18:32and she's also loose
18:33on the ankles,
18:34so just going to give
18:35a heads up for that.
18:36Upper torso's going to be
18:37on a ball joint once again.
18:38The legs are on split.
18:39You can see there's
18:40ball joints working
18:41behind the scenes.
18:42The legs go forward.
18:43The legs go back.
18:44There's a swivel there
18:45at the top of the thigh.
18:46Again, you've got
18:47double hinges on the knees.
18:48It's one of those instances
18:49where the lower knee
18:51is a little loose.
18:52You can see there's
18:53a little bit of rock
18:54happening there,
18:55but it's excessively tight
18:56here on the top.
18:57So while you struggle
18:58maybe with the top of the knee
18:59actually bending,
19:00you'll find that
19:01the bottom of the knee
19:02kind of gives you
19:03a little bit of looseness
19:04in the legs.
19:05She does have an ankle
19:06pivot back and forth.
19:07She has an ankle rocker
19:08up and down as well,
19:09but again,
19:10unfortunately,
19:11it's a little loose.
19:12So I don't know
19:13if necessarily
19:14that's going to be
19:15with everybody's copy,
19:16but I can only really speak
19:17for the copy
19:18that I have in front of me.
19:19All in all though,
19:20Tila, fantastic looking figure.
19:21Let's just move
19:22all these accessories
19:23out of the way here.
19:24There's a lot of options
19:25also available as well,
19:26which kind of again
19:27goes to the territory
19:28with what we generally
19:29get with Mondo.
19:30It isn't just always the case
19:31that you get the
19:32standalone character.
19:33No, I mean,
19:34even if you look at He-Man,
19:35if you're lucky enough
19:36to get your hands
19:37on the timed editions
19:38or the exclusives,
19:39for example,
19:40as I was grabbing He-Man,
19:41his arm fell off,
19:42but just popping that
19:43back in place.
19:44As I was though saying,
19:45the one thing about Mondo
19:46is they always throw in
19:47all these extra Easter eggs.
19:49It's never ever just the case
19:50that you're only going
19:51to be getting the
19:52standalone character
19:53as they look.
19:54You're going to either
19:55be getting Nod's
19:56the original 80s toy line
19:57or you're going to be
19:58getting the stuff
19:59from the Filmation cartoon.
20:00Tila though,
20:01unlike say She-Ra
20:02or unlike He-Man,
20:03does also throw in there
20:04as well the 2000X head sculpt,
20:06which might be
20:07the one time this time
20:08where I'm actually
20:09almost considering
20:10the idea of displaying
20:11her looking like this
20:12and not necessarily
20:13displaying her
20:14looking like this.
20:15The options are
20:16certainly available
20:17whether you want to use
20:18like the weapons
20:19that she wields
20:20in the original toys
20:21or again,
20:22if you want to have
20:23the character displayed
20:24with the serpent headdress.
20:25So the only thing
20:26about that though
20:27is I would also say
20:28just again be careful
20:29because I've scraped
20:30the paint off
20:31the bottom of this.
20:32Even though you can
20:33pry the fingers
20:34and open up the grip,
20:35as you're doing this
20:36you can even feel
20:37like there's resistance
20:38so be careful
20:39because that will
20:40scrape the paint off
20:41quite easily.
20:42But there's a lot of
20:43good stuff going on
20:44here for Tila.
20:45I can certainly see
20:46why the figure
20:47sold out as quickly
20:48as it did.
20:49We can only again
20:50hope that Mondo
20:51is going to be
20:52restocking this figure
20:53for those that
20:54didn't get the chance
20:55to grab her the first time.
20:56If you are a fan
20:57of the Master Universe
20:58and you love the stuff
20:59that Mondo's been doing
21:00with this line,
21:01Tila I feel
21:02is a must have pickup.
21:03While apparently
21:04they can't trust Tila
21:05with secrets,
21:06there's no secret at all
21:07under their Masters
21:08of the Universe banner.
21:09I mean,
21:10it doesn't come
21:11without some problems,
21:12one of the biggest ones
21:13really being
21:14attaching her belt.
21:15I wish though
21:16it was just more of
21:17a simpler case
21:18of detaching the belt
21:19at least from
21:20maybe the back of it
21:21where you'd never
21:22even be able to see it.
21:23But it has to be
21:24literally a case
21:25where you have to
21:26slide it up her boot
21:27and up her thigh
21:28and with that
21:29there's the risk
21:30that it's going to
21:31rub some of the paint off.
21:32Either the paint
21:33off the belt
21:34or if even worse,
21:35the paint off her legs.
21:36But that's an easier thing,
21:37an easier problem
21:38I feel to solve.
21:39If you're having a struggle,
21:40just do what I did.
21:41Heat the head up
21:42with either a hair dryer
21:43or hot water
21:44just to soften up
21:45that socket
21:46so the head's going to be
21:47easier to swap.
21:48The figure does have
21:49all the included accessories
21:50I feel a figure
21:51like this should have.
21:52Now in the past
21:53when we have gotten
21:54Mondo releases,
21:55what they tend to usually do
21:56is throw in little Easter eggs
21:57to the cartoon.
21:58It may include characters
21:59for example,
22:00like She-Ra came
22:01included with Kal.
22:02Tila doesn't have
22:03anything like that necessarily.
22:04I think it may
22:05be anything
22:06they could have included.
22:07Maybe the sorceress
22:08transformed into an eagle,
22:09but let's really be fair.
22:10I mean honestly,
22:11Tila has enough things
22:12going for her anyways.
22:13She has the serpent headdress.
22:14She has all the things
22:15that go with that
22:16and a whole slew
22:17of accessories.
22:18Maybe not necessarily
22:19is the case
22:20that she needs
22:21an accessory or not
22:22to the original
22:23Filmation cartoon.
22:24Like I did say earlier though,
22:25unfortunately Tila
22:26has sold out.
22:27You can always go
22:28the option of either
22:29going to the aftermarket
22:30of trying to track
22:31one down right now,
22:32but Tila's going for
22:33a pretty hefty
22:34price.
22:35Or you can also go
22:36to Mondo's site directly
22:37and go in the option
22:38of notify me
22:39when she's restocked.
22:40If there's a likelihood
22:41that she is going
22:42to get restocked,
22:43I'm sure seeing the success
22:44of how well she sold,
22:45it's a good likelihood
22:46I'm sure that Mondo's
22:47going to want to
22:48re-release her again.
22:49And if that's the case,
22:50definitely will want
22:51to be grabbing this one
22:52and adding it
22:53to your collection.
22:54Big thank you once again
22:55to the folks over at Mondo
22:56that were kind enough
22:57to provide the sample
22:58of the brand new
22:59Master Universe Tila
23:00that we had the chance
23:01to have a look
23:02at this review.
23:03Let me know
23:04what you guys think
23:05is figured down below
23:06in the comments section.
23:07And if you had the choice
23:08between the three head sculpts,
23:09which one would you choose
23:10if you wanted to have
23:11Tila on your shelf?
23:12If in the meantime,
23:13you guys also did enjoy
23:14this video,
23:15do it a solid one.
23:16You throw it a like.
23:17You guys want to stick
23:18around for more so?
23:19I hope so.
23:20Hit the subscribe,
23:21turn on that bell.
23:22And of course,
23:23the biggest thing
23:24is that you're coming
