00:00What do you think about the progress in the diagnosis of precociousness, in the therapies,
00:07the survival rates of patients with lung tumors remain low?
00:12Why?
00:13Of course, because we have to do an early diagnosis.
00:17Today the data are low, why?
00:20Because we often see patients who already have advanced diffusion.
00:24Do you think that 45% of patients who do diagnosis of lung tumors
00:29already have a locally advanced disease or even at a distance?
00:32So we have to identify patients who are healthy at the moment,
00:37but who have high risk factors and on those our efforts converge.
00:41And do what?
00:42The thing to do is to do a high-resolution thoracic attack and low dosage,
00:48so little radiation for the patient, but many results in image quality.
00:52So with these images we can above all find lungs in the initial phase
00:56and also find associated pathologies, pulmonary pathologies, cardiac pathologies.
01:00So doing an important work.
01:01And in addition, in my opinion, we should always associate with the radiological diagnosis
01:06also an ambulatory for the prevention of tabagism.
01:11Why?
01:12Because these subjects who smoke will have two lung tumors out of 100,
01:16maybe three, but if we do a work of prevention of smoking,
01:19these patients will certainly have a better life expectancy than those who would have smoking.
01:23We ask to spread to all citizens at risk the possibility of doing a low-dose thoracic attack.
01:30By doing this we allow ourselves to have many results,
01:34because then we also want the health service to associate with the low-dose attack
01:39also a work of prevention of tabagism.
01:43So ambulatory for tabagism and low-dose thoracic attack.
01:46With this ticket we can really save many lives.
