00:00So we're here at Halls Wellington, brand new Worm Estate agents, and who've we got?
00:04Go on boss, what's your name?
00:05It's Matt.
00:06You're a stork manager here?
00:07Branch manager.
00:08Branch manager.
00:09And go on sir?
00:10John Quinn, managing director at Halls.
00:11And you've got me.
00:12Well if we don't know who this bloke is then, you know, fresh from a Beverley Night gig.
00:17If it wasn't on before, it's going to be officially up.
00:23It's going to be officially over the dog, cool.
00:25Right, shall we do the honours then?
00:26Go on then.
00:28Three, two, one.
00:31Whey!
00:33Bully, bully.
00:34Nice one Steve, nice one.
00:36Cheers Steve.
00:37Thank you Steve.
00:38So you're a branch manager sir?
00:40Yes indeed.
00:41And how many offices have Halls got now?
00:43We've got nine offices.
00:44Nine offices to Rage, Robshire and into Worcestershire as well.
00:47Is it the first time you've been in Wellington or?
00:50So we've been in Wellington before, about 30, 40 years ago now.
00:54But good to be back.
00:55Obviously Telford is a town that's thriving, coming on all the time.
00:58Lots of new properties getting built.
01:00There's definitely a gap in the market for an agent.
01:02It's all encompassing and multifaceted.
01:04And what are people generally after in Shropshire?
01:06There was a point just after Covid where there were people kind of relocating from the cities,
01:11weren't there, to somewhere a bit more rural?
01:13And are we still getting a bit of that?
01:14We're still getting a bit of that.
01:15But one thing we're getting in Telford is a lot of people from Shrewsbury and Wolverhampton.
01:18You get a bit more value for money in comparison to those areas.
01:22So we're pulling people over there with the cost of living crisis the way it is at the moment.
01:26There's people coming from more affluent areas into Telford.
01:28So they still get the same property they had before,
01:30but obviously have a lesser mortgage than they did in the past in those areas.
01:34And in terms of Labour being in power now, more houses being built and so on,
01:39what are you thinking?
01:40Are you seeing any difference?
01:42I certainly think it's going to be good from a planning aspect.
01:45I think more houses are going to get built.
01:46I think the housing crisis is going to be eased somewhat by Labour being in government.
01:51It's just a case of obviously delivering on their promises now.
01:53Great stuff.
01:54Well, good luck in the new offices.
01:56Thank you very much.
01:57Tom over there, have you seen him?
01:58No, let's have a look.
01:59I'm holding Tom over.
02:00Holding someone.
02:02Holding someone.
02:08Watto boots, Watto trainers.
