00:00Next up, the fishermen of Roja Sa Palawan are facing a lot of obstacles due to the heavy rain and the following typhoons.

00:12To ease their worries, the GMA Kapuso Foundation provided assistance.

00:22In Balangay 4 in Roja Sa Palawan, there is a place called Purok Mangingizda.

00:29This is the main livelihood of the residents there.

00:34But due to the heavy rain and the following typhoons,

00:38Ferdi, Henner, and Helen, for almost a week now, the Mangingizda have not been able to spread.

00:46Just like Maricel's family.

00:49My husband and my children are not able to find a job.

00:53We don't have anything to feed them.

00:55Even my children are being abused.

00:57They cry every night because they don't want their house to be destroyed again.

01:01Balangay 4 was hit by the super typhoon Odet in 2021.

01:08That's why every time there's a typhoon, Vilma's trauma comes back.

01:13Her child passed away because of the typhoon Odet.

01:18I'm really nervous.

01:20It's really painful. It's been three years but I still can't accept it.

01:25That's why the GMA Kapusu Foundation is the Western Command of the Philippine Army

01:31that distributes food packs for 2,400 individuals in the town of Rojas.

01:38We are the first NGO or non-government organization that has been able to help the area.
