00:00In May, the GMA Capuso Foundation held the story of a mother who was blessed by the divine vision for her family.
00:15It was the Sight-Saving Month that made her divine world clear thanks to the help of our partners and donors.
00:23Along with the revelation of Liberty's vision in 2016, the revelation of her husband's relationship also came to light.
00:36Her world became more dark, her vision completely disappeared, and she left her husband and children.
00:44Since then, her friend, Melinda, took care of her.
00:50Because of their love for medicine, they asked for help from the GMA Capuso Foundation this April.
01:01Liberty was examined and operated on at the Asian Eye Institute and underwent a second operation at the Ophthalmological Foundation of the Philippines.
01:13For Liberty, it was a cataract surgery plus what we call retina surgery.
01:20The retina is operated on because that's where the damage from diabetes is.
01:25We had to peel or remove the membranes one by one.
01:31Then, her retina was laser-treated, which is what we usually do for patients with advanced diabetic retinopathy.
01:39The doctor also gave her advice to maintain a clear vision.
01:43It's better to have a comprehensive exam that checks your vision from the front to the back.
01:50Now, Liberty is able to see colors and is able to count as well.
01:57Her medicine is still continuing and she is getting better for the next operation on her left eye.
02:05I'm able to see now. I'm able to see clearly, but it's still blurry.
02:10But the good news is, according to the doctor who operated on my eye, the improvement is great.
02:19I can see now.
02:21What color is that?
02:22It's blue, and my hands are able to see clearly.
02:26Aside from this, we also made her a makeover so that she can regain her confidence in herself.
02:33We also included Melinda.
02:35I like her. I'm very happy. Thank you.
