00:00I seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Satan. In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.
00:15We praise Him and send blessings upon His noble Messenger.
00:19May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon you.
00:22Dear viewers, today's topic is patience.
00:28Patience is a great blessing of Allah.
00:36Hazrat Aba Basri said,
00:42The day I do not face any difficulty, I feel that Allah is angry with me.
00:50What does this mean?
00:52This means that I have not been patient.
00:55I have not been informed that I have to be patient.
00:59This is why I have not faced any difficulty.
01:01If I had faced any difficulty, I would have been patient.
01:04Allah says in the Qur'an,
01:07I am with those who are patient.
01:09When Allah is with me, I have to be patient.
01:14Patience is not without difficulty.
01:17This is why patience is a great blessing of Allah.
01:21Sometimes Allah wants to elevate a person.
01:31But His worship is not such that He can elevate a person.
01:35He does not want to hurt a person.
01:39When He is patient, He elevates a person.
01:44Patience is a great blessing of Allah.
01:48There is a hadith in the Qur'an.
01:51When a person is sick,
01:56and when he is on the bed of illness,
02:00and when due to the severity of the illness,
02:04his movements change,
02:07and when he spits out vomit,
02:14every time he spits out vomit,
02:17the angels write a reward for him.
02:23It is as if he did not spit out vomit.
02:27It is as if he said SubhanAllah.
02:30The angels write a reward for him.
02:32And when his movements change,
02:35it is as if a Mujahid is attacking a non-believer.
02:44And when he is on the bed of illness,
02:48as long as he is sick,
02:51it is as if a person who spends Tahajjud
02:54is praying at night.
02:57What can be a greater blessing than patience?
03:01The condition is that he should be patient.
03:05All these things are for those who are patient.
03:08There is a hadith in the Qur'an.
03:11On that day, some people will go to heaven,
03:15and they will be told to go to heaven.
03:19There is no account for you.
03:22When they reach heaven,
03:24Rizwan will say,
03:26the door of heaven has not yet opened,
03:28how did you come?
03:30They will say, we have been sent from there.
03:33When they reach Allah,
03:35Allah will say,
03:37we have sent them,
03:39there is no account for them.
03:41We have given them a lot of trouble in this world.
03:44They have suffered a lot.
03:46But they remained silent because of me.
03:50And they were patient with Allah's will.
03:54That is why today,
03:56this is their reward.
04:00A saint has written in his book,
04:04that on the Day of Judgment,
04:08Allah will say to some people,
04:12I have sent you a lot of trouble,
04:16a lot of sickness,
04:18a lot of pain.
04:20You did not find peace there.
04:22You did not find comfort.
04:24You were not given wealth.
04:26You lived in poverty.
04:28Allah will say to such people,
04:30I will forgive you as a friend.
04:33What can be greater than patience?
04:36What can be greater than patience,
04:39if someone finds it?
04:41If Allah becomes a friend of someone
04:44by being patient and patient,
04:46this is a sign of a righteous person,
04:48that he is patient.
04:50You see the stories of the Prophets.
04:53Prophet Ayub A.S. was ill for 18 years.
04:57And he was patient.
04:59He was a Prophet.
05:01He used to talk to Allah.
05:03Everything was fine.
05:05But despite that,
05:07he did not complain.
05:09And he was patient.
05:11For 18 years,
05:13not for a day or two.
05:15Similarly,
05:17Yusuf A.S. suffered a lot.
05:19He suffered a lot.
05:21He was imprisoned.
05:23He was thrown into a well.
05:26But when he was released from the prison,
05:29the first thing he said was,
05:31Allah has released me from the prison.
05:34He did not say anything else.
05:36He did not say that he was imprisoned for so long.
05:39He did not say that he was blamed.
05:41He did not say that he was thrown into a well.
05:44He did not say anything.
05:46He only said one thing.
05:48I am grateful to Allah
05:50that He has released me from the prison.
05:52The sign of a believer and a Muslim is that
05:55when they have the mercy of Allah,
05:57they should be grateful.
05:59And when they are in trouble,
06:01they should be patient.
06:03Because,
06:04I am to Allah and to Him I will return.
06:07When you come from Allah,
06:09you should return to Him.
06:11All these things are from Him.
06:13When you understand from Him,
06:15then you will be patient.
06:17The one who has given you trouble,
06:19He will also treat you.
06:21So, when you have this expectation,
06:24then Allah the Almighty
06:26will be kind to you.
06:28He will be merciful to you.
06:30And in this world also,
06:32He will enable you to stand up
06:34and be patient.
06:36The condition is that
06:38we should turn to Him.
06:40The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him,
06:43whenever he was troubled,
06:45he would lay down his arms.
06:47He would recite the Qaza-e-Hajjat.
06:49He would prostrate in front of Allah.
06:51And when the time of happiness came,
06:54he would still recite the Shukran-e-Nafl.
06:57He would still prostrate in front of Allah.
07:00So, as a Muslim,
07:02we also have to follow the footsteps
07:05of the Messenger of Allah.
07:08Our destination is the footsteps of the Prophet.
07:11Our destination is the Ka'bah.
07:13Our destination is the footsteps
07:15of the Messenger of Allah.
07:17This is why we also have to do
07:19that when we are happy,
07:21we should be thankful to Allah.
07:23When we are troubled,
07:25we should be patient.
07:27May Allah the Almighty enable you and me
07:29to follow what we have said.
07:31Ameen.
