00:17My background is beautiful, right?

00:19That mountain that you can see behind me is part of the Sierra Madre mountain range.

00:26It's a very wide and long mountain range.

00:29At the bottom of that mountain, you can see the Magat River.

00:34It's a paradise to look at.

00:36But behind that beauty is the danger that it brings to the residents of Nueva Vizcaya.

00:43Fortunately, the walls of this house in Barangay Magapuyi did not collapse.

00:50It slid.

00:52Last night, a large portion of this land was just next to the barangay outpost.

00:59No, sir. There are no houses there because the house is far away.

01:30According to the PDRRMO, the land has softened due to the rain.

01:35Several residents in a barangay in Alfonso Castaneda were isolated due to erosion of their land.

01:50According to the PDRRMO, 26 families were evacuated, or 82 individuals.

01:57The provincial government issued an order for pre-emptive and forced evacuation.

02:13Aside from landslides, flash floods are one of the enemies of the residents of Nueva Vizcaya.

02:18The Magat Dam runs through the province, and it catches fire when it rains heavily.

02:22The river is one of the contributing factors.

02:26The other one, of course, is the rapid urbanization, the issue of drainage.

02:32Aside from the IPs who were stranded in Alfonso Castaneda,

02:35the evacuees have returned to their homes.

02:38But the PDRRMO has a message for the residents.

02:41Don't worry, because the storm is over, everything is okay.

02:47Our mindset is to always be ready.

02:59As you can see, it's a bit foggy. It's cold here in my area.

03:17the water that accumulates on the top of the mountain may fall into the rivers,

03:20which will cause flooding here in Nueva Vizcaya.
