00:19to my fellow workers in government.

00:25So let me congratulate

00:27this year's Outstanding Government Workers.

00:30Your exceptional service,

00:32complemented by your principles, your virtues, your hard work

00:35has truly inspired everyone

00:37to strive to make a difference in our society.

00:41This is President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.'s congratulations

00:44to the government employees

00:46for winning the Awards Rides for 2024

00:49Outstanding Government Workers held in Malacanang.

00:52This occasion shows outstanding talent

00:56and dedication of government employees to the public.

00:59The first search for Outstanding Government Workers

01:02was based on the Civil Service Act of 1959.

01:05It was proposed by former President Ferdinand E. Marcos, Sr.

01:09and more than six decades after its inception,

01:12President Marcos said,

01:14his goal is still being recognized

01:16and to honor the hardworking government employees

01:19in public service.

01:21Three outstanding awards were given

01:23and these are the Presidential Lingkod Bayan,

01:26Outstanding Public Officials and Employees

01:28or Dangal ng Bayan, and the CSC Pag-asa.

01:31According to President Marcos,

01:33there is a challenge that is rewarding

01:36and rewarding the service to the government.

01:38We serve because we make a difference.

01:40We serve because it is in our DNA.

01:44We serve because we love the Philippines.

01:46Public servants are tasked

01:49to speed up the process of government

01:51in improving the economy and improving the service.

01:55The President believes that the honored

01:58and government employees

02:00helped in the development of a new Philippines.

02:03He also called for continued transparency in work

02:07and the service of integrity.

02:10Thank you for all the good work that you all do.

02:13And I hope that this small recognition

02:18that we do today to our awardees,

02:22it just serves to remind us of the army of people

02:26who are working quietly, who are not recognized,

02:30but continue to go to work every day

02:33and do their job the best way that they can.

02:36And for that, I thank you all who are in the civil service.
