00:00The government has allocated funds for disaster-related infrastructure and facilities.

00:15The Department of Budget and Management or DBM has earmarked 1 billion pesos
00:20for the Department of Public Works and Highways or DPWH
00:23to fund disaster-related infrastructure projects.
00:26This will support ongoing relief and rehabilitation efforts following recent calamities.
00:31This is part of the 22.736 billion pesos
00:35allocated for the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Fund or NDRRMF in 2024,
00:41most of which were already distributed to various agencies for disaster response.
00:47The Department of Health or DOH and PhilHealth have approved
00:50the country's first preventive oral health care benefit package.
00:54The package covers routine dental services such as screening, cleanings, fluoride treatments, and emergency extractions.
01:00It also includes coverage for certain dental procedures
01:03aiming to help Filipinos retain 20 permanent teeth by the age of 70.
01:07The approval aligns with the country's participation in the World Health Organization Global Oral Health Meeting
01:14highlighting the government's commitment to universal health care.
01:18Meanwhile, private sector workers on November 30 or Bonifacio Day
01:22are entitled for a double pay for the first eight hours' work.
01:26Overtime will be paid at an additional 30% of hourly rate.
01:30If the holiday falls on a worker rest day, he or she will receive an extra 30% of 200% wage.
01:36Workers who don't work but report on the presiding day are entitled to 100% of their daily wage.
