00:00We start with the nation's top team, that's Georgia. The SEC opener for the Bulldogs taking
00:11on Kentucky. We'll get to number two Texas after a very impressive win in the big house
00:16in just a moment. At least you got more than three scores today in favor of Georgia as
00:21they go on the road to Lexington to take on the Wildcats. Much like we discussed with
00:26LSU in South Carolina, the SEC opener for UGA, not the case for Kentucky. At home, last
00:33week, near a double-digit favorite, they got dismantled. 44 yards of passing offense for
00:40the Cats. Can they keep this game close against the nation's top team? I think they can. Again,
00:44from the series perspective, it's been dominated by Georgia. They've won 14 straight, including
00:49last year where Carson Beck broke out with a 300-yard performance. They won it 51-13,
00:56but to what we discussed all week, Ben, you know, the last four games in Lexington between
01:01these teams, the average margin of defeat has been only 10.2 points per game. They've
01:06covered four straight in Lexington. I think they run the football, try somehow, some way
01:12to get it into the fourth quarter and potentially steal it. I still like Georgia to win the
01:16game, Kev, but I'm taking the points 22-and-a-half. I have it at 24-and-a-half and I would take
01:22it over a key number at 21. So, last year, a 5-0 Wildcats goes to Athens, catching 14-and-a-half.
01:31They lose 51-13. This year, at home, they catch 22. Has there been that much separation
01:39created between these teams? It's absolutely on the board. Kentucky continuously underwhelmed
01:46from that point moving forward. And, sneaky, not many will agree with this. Maybe I'm too
01:52quick of a trigger finger. Mark Stoops, hot seat watch, absolutely needs to put out there.
01:58He has been getting rolled by good teams. Rolled, absolutely rolled. Now, I'm not saying
02:05he needs to beat Georgia. That's ridiculous. But you said that the recent history that
02:09this is about 10 points, right? So, last year was 38. All right, let's see.
02:13In Lexington, it's been...
02:14Oh, I got you. Okay, okay. So, but again, so let's get inside that margin here. Everything
02:20that I've seen says Georgia should win this game 31-3, quite frankly. I mean, I don't
02:28know what's going on.
02:29The total's only 44-and-a-half.
02:30Yeah, I don't know what's going on with Brock Vandegrift, right? But, to me and my brain,
02:36I think Stoops needs to step up here in a major way. He has a great job in Kentucky,
02:41under the radar, all the heat's on Pope now instead of Cal. No, I'm serious. Everything's
02:47great for him. But that's why... Go look at those results last year, man. They had this
02:51gorgeous, gorgeous spot last year against Bahamas. Sleepy spot. Milrow had about a billion
02:56touchdowns at half. If they get smashed here, I think you've got to put Stoops on alert
03:01a little.
03:02It is really interesting. What is the football expectation for the basketball blue blood?
03:06That is Kentucky. Still an SEC football program. They've won four SEC conference games in five
03:13of the last eight full seasons. They've been just three and five each of the past two years,
03:18and they dropped their SEC opener in a large way last week against South Carolina. Prior
03:23to the last eight years of college football, they had won four SEC games just twice in
03:29the previous 16 college football seasons, and that is why Mark Stoops, I think, has
03:33a little bit of pedigree built up in Lexington. To your point, Kev, last time this game was
03:39decided by a single score between UGA and Kentucky was in 2016. They've been closer
03:44than three touchdowns, or 22 and a half, but just something to note. And last year against
03:49Kentucky was Carson Beck's best day. 28 of 35, 389 yards, his career best to this point.
03:56Four touchdowns. Five touchdowns last week against Tennessee Tech. Trevor Etienne returned.
04:01Five carries, 78 yards last week against the FCS foe. He was suspended week number
04:05one against Clemson. And we have said this often about Georgia. Not great covering numbers
04:10in non-conference action the last three plus years. Of course, winning two national championships
04:16and dropping one game entering this year in their last 30. Eight, nine, and one against
04:21the spread in non-con play. They're 16 and 12 against the numbers since the start of
04:26the 2021 season in SEC actions.
