00:00It's going to be the start of week number four in college
00:06football in just a few days. What a weekend slate we have
00:10Saturday, September 21st. Three ranked versus ranked top 25
00:15tilts after only a single one this previous Saturday. Four
00:20ranked versus ranked games the entirety of the weekend and
00:24that begins Friday night in Lincoln, Nebraska. The Huskers
00:28up by a spot in the AP top 25, Illinois back inside the AP
00:33pole for the first time in two years. So now the Nebraska,
00:38Illinois game known as Nebranoys is a ranked matchup.
00:42The Huskers an eight and a half point home favorite in Memorial
00:45Stadium against the Illini. This is the first ranked versus
00:49ranked game between two teams inside the AP top 25 in Lincoln,
00:54Nebraska since 2013. It is a sign of the times for the
00:59Huskers. They are three and oh for the first time since 2016,
01:03Illinois also three and oh the Illini barely missing out on a
01:08cover with the closing line of 21 and a half points against
01:12Central Michigan at home, but they held the chips to only nine
01:16points. When you look at Illinois in 2022, the last time
01:19the Illini were ranked, they were the best scoring defensive
01:23unit in the country, allowing just a tick more than 12 points
01:26per game. All three games under for Illinois. All three games
01:30under for a great defense in Nebraska to begin 43 and a half
01:34a relatively low total for that marquee matchup on Friday
01:39night. Big ten opener for both of these teams elsewhere on
01:44that Saturday slate. Welcome to the SEC. It's a moment for an
01:48Oklahoma team at home in Norman. That's looked a little
01:51bit dicey. They didn't cover winning by fifteen against
01:54Tulane on Saturday. They were a thirteen and a half point
01:59favorite, but this is a best test for Oklahoma who remains
02:03at number fifteen in the country because enter Tennessee
02:06the nation's best offense so far this year alongside Ole Miss
02:10Tennessee scored 71 on Saturday night at home against Kent
02:14State and Nico barely played Dylan Samson on the ground for
02:18the volunteers has looked really really good north of a
02:22touchdown in favor of Tennessee who is now twenty-two and nine
02:27against the spread when booked as a favorite since Josh Hypel
02:30took the reins in Knoxville. That's the start of the 2021
02:34season. It's one of the five best cover percentages as a
02:37favorite in college football in the last three plus years. You
02:41want to talk some market movement. Here you go. What a
02:44marquee matchup we have from brand notoriety from national
02:47relevance from a big ten perspective on Saturday inside
02:52the big house in Ann Arbor, Michigan remains in the top
02:56twenty. They do move down a slot after they beat Arkansas
02:59State twenty-eight to eighteen coming nowhere close to
03:03covering his north of a twenty-point favorite Davis
03:07Warren did not miss a pass. I guess you could say on
03:11Saturday, a pass did not hit the turf. He was eleven of
03:14fourteen with three interceptions. Three rushing
03:18scores though for the Maize and Blue. That was the positive
03:21after not a single rushing touchdown. They're opening two
03:25weeks, but you should notice that drastic market movement.
03:28Michigan a five and a half point home favorite to USC.
03:33When this line opened up in the summer months, it was the
03:35Wolverines as nearly a double digit favorite laying nine and
03:38a half against Southern Cal. The Trojans now near a
03:42touchdown favorite. USC had the week off after a strong
03:46start to the year. The victory over LSU in Las Vegas, a shut
03:50out over Utah State forty-eight zip. I thought Utah might shut
03:54out the Aggies in Logan on Saturday. Not the case. Utah
03:58State put up twenty-one Utah scored thirty-eight. We did not
04:02see Cameron rising. Well, we see Cam rising on Saturday for
04:05Utah's big twelve opener in Stillwater against Oklahoma
04:09State. The pokes a short two and a half point home favorite.
04:14This is going to be a great game. How will each of the
04:17running backs perform? How will Ollie Gordon the second look
04:21against a strong Utah physical front and keep an eye on the
04:24Kai Bernard. That's the running back for the Utes. Oklahoma
04:28State has not been a good defense each of the past two
04:31years and it's not been great this season so far. You look at
04:34what Arkansas did just a couple of weeks ago nearly 700 yards
04:38of total offense. That does it for the early line on this
04:42Monday. Show returns tomorrow 8 AM Eastern here on Sports
04:46Grid.
