00:00Tomorrow is the biggest halal trade show in the world, the Malaysia International Halal Showcase.

00:18The opening of the 20th year of Malaysia International Halal Showcase was a success.

00:24It was held at Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Center yesterday.

00:30At the opening ceremony of this event, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Yabdato Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim, gave a speech.

00:41I take this opportunity to express my profound gratitude to the support by many governments throughout the world.

00:50Without discrimination, I mean, the halal industry is participating as you see this exhibition,

00:56by Muslims, Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, all participate as true Malaysians, ensuring success of the halal industry.

01:06The 20th year was also record-breaking because it was named by the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest attendance for a halal trade show,

01:15with 38,566 attendees in the 20th year.

01:30Congratulations, you are officially amazing.

01:38After the opening ceremony, the Malaysian Prime Minister toured the entire exhibition and interacted with the exhibitors.

01:51A media conference was also held by Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation or MATRADE,

01:58which is the organizer of the event to answer the questions of the media from various countries.

02:05Halal is not just about to be consumed by the Muslim.

02:08It also has been the preferred products and also services by many other countries

02:15as much as it is also aligned with a certain standard of ESG.

02:24This year, more than 20 exhibitors from the Philippines came here to introduce their halal-certified products and services to buyers and attendees.

02:36According to them, being halal-certified and participating in trade shows in their business will help a lot.

02:45We are very happy because we met a lot of fellow businessmen, customers from different countries who are also looking for Filipino products.

02:56I really encourage and I really invite Filipino business owners and manufacturers to get their products halal-certified.

03:07It's also a good practice to include and to have a more accepted product around the world.

03:16The participation of the Philippines in international trade shows like MIHAS is a big step to make Filipino businesses more recognized inside and outside the country.

03:28Through this, the value and benefit of being halal-certified will be more valued.
