00:00Hi, I'm Dominic Webb, Chair of the Clown Garden Village Action Group. Obviously we're disappointed,
00:08severely disappointed with the outcome of today's Planning Committee vote to go ahead
00:12and approve the outline planning permission for Clown Garden Village. We think that the
00:17Planning Committee have failed in the role that they had before them today. They couldn't
00:23give due regard to some very serious matters such as the environmental impact assessment
00:29and that's because the applicant didn't provide them with the information that they needed.
00:34Planning Officers I suppose did their best to try and wiggle things around and make things
00:39a bit more presentable but it doesn't get away from the fact that this planning application
00:43has just been approved on a very giant set of ifs, buts and maybes and as the Planning
00:49Officers were forced to admit all the benefits that are coming in the way of infrastructure
00:53improvements are not safe and are subject to the developers coming back and pleading
00:58poverty. And what's the next step Dom? I think the next step for us is that we already
01:03have the appeal ready to go, where the applicant was woefully short in their application was
01:09identifiable before today. So the appeal is ready to go, we have a call in request with
01:16the Secretary of State, there appears to be other people that have called this in to the
01:19Secretary of State as well. So I think we probably spend the next three, four years
01:24arguing this in court, at which point the Wastestones and the Council don't get any
01:28of the houses that they say they're getting in a year's time.
