01:06the family home of Lord and Lady Edward Manners is marking a celluroid century.
01:11Most recently the uniquely preserved Elizabethan Hall
01:14was featured as one of the main locations in BBC's Wolf Hall, The Mirror
01:18and The Light.
01:19Haddon first featured on film in Dorothy Vernon of Haddon Hall
01:23the 1924 silent movie starring Mary Pickford.
01:26The film was actually shot in Hollywood but the sets were a detailed replica of
01:30Haddon's interiors
01:31and Mary Pickford who played Dorothy Vernon and Douglas Furbank
01:35her husband at the time, visited Haddon prior to filming to get a feel for the
01:38Hall's atmosphere.
01:40Since then Haddon Hall has featured in many of the world's favourite TV and films
01:44including The Princess Bride and no fewer than three different versions
01:48of Jane Eyre.
